  2. Google also announced that by popular demand they will improve their rather very basic Task API.

    Syncing Google Tasks with Freedcamp would be a great option to connect better to the Google App service.

    Google has a very unique feature to attach an email to a tasks

    We are already working now on a new concept called Dashboards that will support the Summary widget (pie, bar, battery, or card output), Table, and Buttons widgets. Essentially dashboards are custom reports and you can create as many dashboards as you need with as many widgets with drag and drop capability to set your perfect layout. Eventually, Dashboards will supersede the Widgets page. Dashboards can be private, shared with all team members (new members will see it too) or selected team members. Initially, dashboards will be added to the Enterprise plan.

  5. It would be very helpful to see in the calendar what are the users assigned to each task at first view.
    In Freedcamp, you can see that information only when you open each task.
    With that info clearly visible is really easy to assign a task to different users and also for the assigned users to follow up their tasks and advances visually.

  6. We use template files for the projects, which means all projects have the same task groups, tasks and mile stones. So the Notifications page shows a long list of the same task names (RFQ ORDER LOGISTICS) but it doesn't show which project.

    Having the first 20 characters of the project title in front would be a great help!

  8. There should be a button on the widget to add a new time entry. And the time entry form should include a drop down for the project (only in this popup, or all time entry popups?)

    Hi Jack,

    We can definitely connect https://www.filestack.com/ or similar service to allow our paying customers to see previews. Instead of uploading your file directly to Freedcamp’s AWS S3 storage we will send a file to FileStack and ask them to make a few small PNG files which will be used for previews. After it is done we load your file and previews to Freedcamp’s AWS S3 storage.

    Problem is https://www.filestack.com/docs/file-processing/document-conversion/document does not support formats you need as well as http://filepreviews.io/docs/features.html

    In addition FilePreviews service does not look as actively developed.

  10. Since my clients are Dutch, I would like to serve them with a dutch interface. I can imagine there are more people who want to display FC in their own languages. If there is an English language file available, I would be happy to translate it!

  11. I think another icon for "In progress" is better than the same hook with "Complete" but color, If In progress is the different status with Completed, I don't know why using the same icon but just color.

I would lke to have a column or special place to add the set price (in the currency of my choice) of the task ordered by a client (I'm a freelancer), which will work along the Time widget, so that I would see the average earned income based on the hours spent on all my tasks for a set period. Thus maybe a statistics functionality as well.

  13. a Scheduling Portion of a "home" calendar or a "to do" calendar for the user so they can schedule their days down to the minute for maximum efficiency; this allows a working to-do schedule and then the calendar is for milestones and due dates of projects

  16. When overseeing a team it is useful for project leaders/managers to know whether team members who have been assigned a task have logged in and seen the task. That way the leader/manager knows whether or not they have to follow up with the team member to ensure that they have read tasks that have been assigned to them. Without this feature, team-members who want to shirk responsibility for a task always have the 'I didn't see that notification' excuse.

    Hi SC,

    This does not make sense to me as it will never be accurate. Team can get notified and ‘see’ your task by an email, push notification on mobile device.

    Best way to track will be to use upcoming features like:
    - making sure task is In Progress if it passed start date
    - progress % is in line with working days for a task duration
    - estimate time is not conflicting with time worked vs working days and/or task duration
    - task is not overdue

  17. When you are on the Desktop either on the
    *Task Board
    *Calendar Board
    *Widget Board
    Where ever there is a task item there should be the ability to edit the task without leaving that page via ajax or popup window

  18. It is easy to forget to stop a timer when you just close the browser or log out. It would be helpful to avoid overrun to have an option to stop all timers if the user logs out or closes the browser.

  19. Also please add a 'compact mode' checkbox so it uses less vertical space by not showing the number of comments and the check button, i.e. it looks just like the My Tasks widget.

  20. At the moment the calendar and task widgets displays only the subtask name. Having the option to display parent tasks would make the calendar more informative.

    For example Task1 "clean study" has subtask "clean windows", and Task2 "clean bedroom" has substask "clean windows". So the calender would be more informative it listed. -Clean Study/ Clean windows and - Clean Bedroom/ Clean windows.

    Hi Robert,

    I do agree but Calendar cell has limited size. “Clean Study/ Clean windows” will probably fit but not “[BUG] Complete date shown without accounting users TZ/ Check other application where we show dates”.

    may be in Agenda view and Day view only and on hover/click in Weekly and Monthly views?
