  1. sometime (often) project participants will forget to record events at the time they occur, so that some ToDo item looks like it was completed "today", rather than a week ago. Likewise with time entries.

distinguish the modification time on these items from a completion (or other status change) date. (Started, stopped, etc).

This would also allow for more complete incorporation of projects that are created after they are already effectively in progress, to be able to record some of the past completed tasks and time entries for proper accounting of overall progress, rather than just from the time it was…

  2. Would it be possible to add the ability to color the text in discussions and comments? Many times, there will be some important text in a discussion post that we want to draw attention to, and being able to color that portion of the text so it stands out would be very helpful. Thank you for listening!

  4. So I can view only the items assigned to me and not every information that I'm not part of. Just the same filters that you already have in the tasks page but applied to the calendar.

  6. Hey! I've been using Freedcamp for a couple weeks now & like the tool a lot. I actually have a UI suggestion that would help my day to day haha. I wanted to suggest that you create a "go to next task" button, because right now it's time consuming to click "back to tasks" each time I want to go down the list and review my items.

  7. Instead of priorities as low, medium, high, it would be great to have a scale of 1 to 10, so that we can be a little more definitive about what needs to be done first.

Sometimes due dates are not as important or particularly relevant as most of our ongoing bug fixes are ASAP in priority order. A scale of 1 to 10 would allow my hackers to be more focused and group quicker.

  8. It's an old idea, but I don't think it was ever actually implemented:

"Currently subtasks are ordered based on how they were added. It would be good to be able to change the order of the subtasks manually."

  9. I see this as an added pay business feature. And it could be pretty simple. Possibly integrated into the main "projects" view.

On this page, add links to other web pages or resources.
examples would be the company intranet
    process / flowcharts
    general "discussions" list
Links to other apps/website like wordpress, harvest, hipchat, etc
    General announcements

I could see this page being the general landing page for our team. I'd pay $5/mo for this feature.

  10. It would be nice if we could specify estimated points and actual points to tasks. We follow an agile methodology where we generate velocities using points. It would be nice to add estimated and actual points to tasks and be able to see them in both list and kanban views. As well as sort by estimated and actual points.

You can add two custom fields – estimated Points and Actual Points – https://freedcamp.com/Freedcamp_LxR/Freedcamp_Devel_yOf/wiki/wiki_public/view/3Tbab

They won’t be visible in list view and Kanban view but we are working on table view where you will be able to decide what columns/attributes to display and maybe some customizations will be added to allow to display certain custom attributes – tags and/or custom fields in list and Kanban view in the future.

You can use Data Feed links to build velocity reports in GSheets or Excel https://freedcamp.com/Freedcamp_LxR/Freedcamp_Devel_yOf/wiki/wiki_public/view/Ksbab

  11. I noticed there's "Sort by: My order" but I'm not certain what that is, I was hoping to be able to drag and drop these to reorder them.

  12. We'd like to to view all tasks by Project Group. The closest I am able to get to this is to go to Manage Projects-->Tasks. This shows all tasks in all projects - which is a very long list.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

For example, if there was a Filter that let us select Project Group, or if we could expand collapse by Project Group.

    Thanks

Such filters – by project group and/or projects have been added on Tasks and Calendar Boards.

We also hide on Tasks Board empty projects/task lists after filtering so you do not see a lot of empty sections.

  13. I'm using Freedcamp to follow the task of my collegues on my project. I would like to create a user that would be the customer so he can see how the project is going. This type of user would only be in view mode and I would have the possibility to decide which task he can see.

  14. I have been using Freedcamp for a couple of days now and the one thing I find to be a pain is that I create a task and then realise that is actually a subtask of an existing task. I have to delete it and then add it as a sub task. It would be great to be able to just drag a task on top of another to nest it and make it a subtask of the parent

  15. I undestand its good to keep the tile view not cluttered with a lot of info but for example in the 'In progress' section of Kanban view where I can see the tiles of all tasks, it would be nice to have the target date next to the priority indicator for each task. This way, at a glance, I know what task it is, its priority and target date without having to open the task.

I was just having an overview of tasks I have assigned to my team and realised for each task I had to open to find…

  16. Currently, when member of my team updates a task, I get notification. The notification says only "Person X updated task Y" or something. It would be great, if the notification said what changed, was the status changed, was task finished, did somebody just posted comment? I get 10 notifications, but I still don't have a clue what happened at a glance

  17. When I've 4-5 projects to manage and several tasks in each project, then viewing the update in each task is very difficult, I've to either rely on email notification or go through every task one by one.

There should be a way to view updated tasks by others (not me), or there should be a notification listing.

  18. We have lots of projects - so the current dashboard 'feature' to only show the first 5 projects in a group is not always desirable. I would like the option to scroll a bit vs. hunt and click a link.

Also this will make sort option by Name or by Last Use also desirable.

Engineers applied as a hot fix – option ‘Show all’ is available on Dashboard under cog wheel icon.
This setting is stored in browser local storage so when selected at work will not show at home unless also enabled at home.

    Cheers,
