Show custom fields on the expanded task overview (of the kanban board)
It would be much easier if custom fields would show up on the task overview, the way they do in Trello. It would also be great if, when creating custom fields, we had the option to have the field appear on the overview if there is data for that field (text, checked box, etc.). Again, I'm looking at the way custom fields work in Trello.

Email into a Task List within a project
Instead of having dozens of project tiles, I group like tasks lists into a single project. I would like to be able to email tasks into a task list within a project so I can file this task in a single step without having to move it into the appropriate task list.

Need a Total Control from The Project Manager Perspective
I can't allow this app to send out to the team members with all kinds of notification or invites while I am still configuring the project. Also our members will be pissed when receiving all kinds of notification even before they know how to stop such junk notification. I, as a project manager, I'll be able to disable the notification of all members and/or some members, until I feel comfortable in sending out notifications or invites.
1 voteCreate a project, archive it, access it via Manage System to add team members and set tasks. When all is done → unarchive – all who are involved will be invited.

Update pages dynamically with new data
While I'm working and someone from the team updates the task board I have to refresh to see it. I would like it to update anytime anyone makes changes.
2 votesInstead of updating the page, we show that new updates are available so you can update page to make sure we do not interrupt and scroll you away.

Tasks - assign a person to a task list so that every task in that list is automatically assigned to the person.
If you have a task list with all tasks assigned to the same person. Instead of dragging the name to all tasks, it would be better to drag the name to the task list so that every task is automatically assigned to that person

Email-In - manage duplicate files
I use the email in feature extensively with Freedcamp, and that means that I have a whole lot of duplicate files everywhere in my projects, mostly because of signature images. There needs to be a way to handle the files better, to reduce clutter and the footprint from all of those useless files.
5 votesIf you – remove all in message body except attachments you want to add as files. Edit the subject as it will become a file description in Freedcamp.
To delete duplicates – go to Files, in search box (1) type title::name_of_signature_image, make sure you search in folders and subfolders (2) – use bulk action (3) to delete all signature files (4).

Tags - make visible on task overview pages
I'd love to see tags (optionally) visible when viewing task "overview" pages (like the Tasks Board, Widgets Board, etc).
My team often has tasks on which we can't move forward until a stakeholder provides feedback or additional materials, and sometimes this will cause the task to become overdue. However, when viewing one of the task "overview" pages, it's difficult to tell at a glance whether tasks are overdue because of my team, or because we're waiting on the stakeholder(s).
It would be nice if we could add a "Waiting" tag or something similar to those tasks, and have that tag…

Limit height of task list swimlanes when on Kanban
When in the Kanban view of the task board, it'd be great if I could limit the vertical height of each swimlane for the task lists. Something like show the top 5 tasks in each column for this swimlane, but then only show the full expanded columns if I click a "View More" button or similar.
The problem I'm running into is that I use the "No Progress" column as a backlog and a large backlog pushes my other swimlanes way out of my view. Seeing the top few tasks would be nice so we can see the highest priority…
3 votesYou can fully collapse columns and use columns and sections https://blog.freedcamp.com/2021/05/19/introducing-custom-grouping/

Recurring Tasks Show Historical Comments
I would like the ability to have recurring tasks show historical comments. The purpose of recurring that it happens every week (or so) and so any comments that were made would be super helpful to see so that we can look back on what happened.
Or another option would be to link the discussions with the comments to track what was discussed previously.
My use case is that I use the recurring to remind me of meetings that come up and to record what happens in those meetings.
3 votesPlease use recurrent Events instead – all comments will be there historically – we use it at Freedcamp for a virtual weekly catch-up completed last week/planned for the next week (each week is one comment).

Tasks - add Table view
Would it be possible to add a column view to the task lists? Currently the Task name, Status, Start Date and Due Date are all crowded together. It would be nice if each was in a clearly defined column with column headers.

Ability to turn off vertical expansion of task window when hovering
When mousing over a task it expands vertically to reveal the + Edit ... buttons. My tendency is to place the mouse pointer right on the task list, which rapidly expands and contracts each task.
The visual effect is a bit nauseating. :-)
Is it possible to turn off this animation and just include the buttons on the same line as the task?Or if the box expanded horizontally that would likely mitigate the effect, as well. Thanks!
1 voteWe have now four different task views so it is unclear which one you were talking about but I believe it is fixed now.
