Either a "shortcut" or "link" to another project/list/task.
I have lots of huge task lists but sometimes use a higher level list to organize those. In order to remember to look at the task list, I add a task saying "See xxxx list". Having a link there would allow me to go right to it.
1 voteHi,
Simply paste URL and we will do the rest converting it to a meaningful link.

Milestones Board - to allow "ONE" view of all milestones for our team
Milestones work great and is a really good feature.
But in our team we work across many different projects - and we would like to be able to see a total summary of all our milestones across projects.
Is there a way to make it so Milestones are not only linked to a single project, but can be used across projects?
Would be aweosme!

Time Tracking by Day / Week / Month etc...
It would be very helpful to see an overview of time tracking for a project. Such as what time of day a project has been worked on, who has worked on it and what tasks have been worked on during that time. This could either be shown in the Time App or in the Calendar App, either way would be very helpful.
6 votesWe now launched the Time board https://freedcamp.com/dashboard/time – please note that ‘group by’ options including by multiple criteria are available on our paid plans only. We also integrated Tasks and Issues with Time tracking https://blog.freedcamp.com/2021/09/25/seamlessly-track-time-on-tasks-and-issues/

Recurrence - Tasks, Tasky, Discussions
I have recurring tasks that need to be accomplished each month. It would be great to have an option in Tasks, or Tasky, or Discussions where I can simply duplicate the content from a completed Task/Tasky/Discussion - Edit for the new month, without having to re-enter the information.
If this already exists, I can't find it.
12 votesRecurring tasks and recurring calendar events are available on all paid plans.
Recurring discussions do not make sense.
Recurrence in Tasky is not yet supported. -

Cancelled Status
It would be nice to have the ability to mark a task cancelled. There are times where we assign a task and for some reason it gets cancelled. It would be nice to have the ability "Cancel" a task but still keep any notes that have been added while still active.

Not to set due dates but due days
Right now we can chose to set due dates for tasks. But when I use a project as a template I would love to set due days in stead of due dates. So for example; when I make a new project, from a template, the first task should be done in 5 days, the second task in 2 weeks, the third in one month after the start.
17 votesSimply set due dates in the template correctly and when you make a copy we allow you to shift all due dates from first or last for a new project. http://blog.freedcamp.com/2016/09/20/use-project-templates-to-plan-backwards/

Sorting by "last activity" may include new comments in issue tracker
In issue tracker, sorting by "last activity" doesn't take care about new comments.
it's not possible to quickly see which issue has been commented.
When there are lots of issues, and lots of comments, it's really hard to see recent comments.
So sorting by "last activity" may include comments changes, or maybe a new sorting option can be added ("last activity or comment")36 votes -
Allow to add images to Project cards on Dashboard
I would like to add custom images to my Project envelope shown on the dashboard. This will help decipher projects more quickly when having several projects showing up on the dashboard.

Quick Notes
It doesn't require a discussion, but is where any meeting notes, quick chats with colleagues etc can be logged. These 'Quick Notes' can be shared with the team desired. This also saves writing notes from meetings in another piece of software and then uploading. I saw below it has been suggested to use a 'discussion' tab and set as private, but it then organised this so the 'next' note is at the bottom. ideally, the last comment would be at the top.

Standardize user type names
I find the names of user types in Freedcamp confusing.
On the 'Manage apps and team page' the teams are called: Organiser, Contributor, Team Player, Observer.
However at the top of the page they are Admin, Pro User, User and Read only.
Then in the Legend linked to alongside those it has additional Owner and Group Admin roles too.
May I suggest
a) standardising the Contributor/User and Team Player/Pro user labels,
b) Removing or setting apart the Owner and Group Admin roles from the legend in this instance since it seems they are not relevant to the set up for…6 votesMade some improvements https://freedcamp.com/profiles/help

Emoji
It would be great to have unicode emoji support. Currently emoji characters are stripped out from task titles.

Custom Background images for projects or profiles,
It would be great and add to the quality of the software if we could personalize the background of a certain project when entered, or when you view a profile they could have their Specialized background to add to the feeling of comfort

Objectives, Mission and Vision
It would be great if we can have a kind of banner positioned below the row of tabs (Task/Discussions/Milestones/Files) where the objectives, mission or vision can be showcased. It's like a reminder of why you are doing what you are doing, and what is the effect you aim to achieve. It would help to stay on track, I believe, by setting up the direction. For example, on the Tasks tab, when I see my kanban board (No progress/In Progress/Completed) I would love to be able to see my objectives for that project, so I know how close/far I am from…

Sort by Alphabetical Order (within a project group)
Hi there, I use freedcamp to place my company projects into different 'categories'. So, for example I have 'Web Design Projects', then 'Graphic Design Projects' etc etc.
My Web Design Projects are now up to about 40 projects and so it would make life much easier if I could sort these alphabetically (either from A - Z or Z - A). But I cannot see that Freedcamp has this functionality.
So I would like to request to get this feature added please.
Best Regards,

Tasks - add Start time and End time
I assign him task to start work at 4.00 pm xyz task he clicks and it shows me that ABC has started working on this, I will set a fix target that 5.30 pm in 1.30 hours I am expecting this out put from you, so once at 5.30 PM task is auto stopped, ABC has to just put the number in the task completion so I would come to know if the assigned task is achieved as per the target or not

Users forum
Aside to the Support center (which is great here as I observe) there could be a users forum for exchanging experience between users on common issues. Sometimes problem solution can lie not in technical development, what can be discussed here in Suggestions desk, but simply sharing experiences between users. For instance I am thinking about on issue - how do others reflect delays in their tasks. It maybe can be a technical solution but not necessarily. There could be a chance to discuss issues with other users and then come up with already discussed suggestion here.
1 voteHi All,
Please email help@freedcamp.com as we already have Freedcamp project specifically set with Discussions only where we have conversations and answer your questions.
