  1. It's an old idea, but I don't think it was ever actually implemented:

"Currently subtasks are ordered based on how they were added. It would be good to be able to change the order of the subtasks manually."

  2. It would be nice to be able to acknowledge a comment/ reply/ task assignment etc. This could be done by adding a button next to the current "reply/link/edit/archive" buttons in the comments and sub-task options bar. This way we an acknowledge having read/seen a comment or task assigned to us etc.

  3. If I switch to list view, the description of the task group is displayed. If I am in Kanban view, no description is displayed. This is useful for my team since we often use a technical term for the task group but then describe in clear terms what the task group is.

  4. It would be useful to have an "Issues Board" alongside the Widgets Board, Calendar Board and Tasks Board. This could be available at https://freedcamp.com/dashboard/issues and would show issues from all of your Projects.

It could be sortable and filterable, simililar to the Tasks Board.

  5. I’m testing Freedcamp now, and am very happy with the overall features. One thing that would really help is being able to change the color of the header bar (bright blue) to something less distracting. I often leave Basecamp open in a browser window while working, so am also trying that with Freedcamp, but that blue bar keeps pulling my eyes over. And not in a good way. Thanks for your time!

  6. I undestand its good to keep the tile view not cluttered with a lot of info but for example in the 'In progress' section of Kanban view where I can see the tiles of all tasks, it would be nice to have the target date next to the priority indicator for each task. This way, at a glance, I know what task it is, its priority and target date without having to open the task.

I was just having an overview of tasks I have assigned to my team and realised for each task I had to open to find…

  7. The UI feels a bit out-dated and clunky for the Discussions List. I'd expect to be able to click anywhere in the row to select the discussion but instead I have to precisely click the Title.

This was fine 10 years ago, but with modern UI methods I'd expect to be able to click anywhere in the row. Highlighting it before click would also be nice.

This section feels unstyled compared to the rest of the site too.

  8. The ability to organize the display order of projects on the dashboard.

ATM it is set to Recent Projects and then Project Groups used. What I would love is to be able to put the actual Projects in the order I wish, giving me the ability to place those being worked on at the top, and others in a suitable order that suits me the best.

What do you think everyone, would this change help you to work better? I know it would for me.

If it will, please upvote it.

    Hi All,

You can hide Recent Projects on Dashboard and you can reorder project groups and projects easily inside D/Down in a header or on Manage projects page – http://blog.freedcamp.com/2014/12/11/how-to-reorder-projects-and-project-groups-in-freedcamp/

    What is really missing:

    - list view for Dashboard which will allow to hide project groups with sticky filters and saved filters like in Tasks now

    - ability to add tags to projects and filter projects by tags. Once filtered – you can see everywhere only matching projects – all widgets will show info from matching projects only, d/down, Notifications page etc.

    Regards,
    Igor

  11. Is there a way to see a breakdown of how much time I've spent on a particular project per month? I have to submit percentages of how much time I spent, to accounting. A pie chart breaking this down would be awesome so I don't have to guess!

  12. Hey! I've been using Freedcamp for a couple weeks now & like the tool a lot. I actually have a UI suggestion that would help my day to day haha. I wanted to suggest that you create a "go to next task" button, because right now it's time consuming to click "back to tasks" each time I want to go down the list and review my items.

  13. I have been using Freedcamp for a couple of days now and the one thing I find to be a pain is that I create a task and then realise that is actually a subtask of an existing task. I have to delete it and then add it as a sub task. It would be great to be able to just drag a task on top of another to nest it and make it a subtask of the parent

  14. Instead of priorities as low, medium, high, it would be great to have a scale of 1 to 10, so that we can be a little more definitive about what needs to be done first.

Sometimes due dates are not as important or particularly relevant as most of our ongoing bug fixes are ASAP in priority order. A scale of 1 to 10 would allow my hackers to be more focused and group quicker.

  15. We love that Freedcamp sends emails when Tasks and Issues (in Issue Tracker) are updated. However, each time a task or issue is updated, we will receive at least 2 emails: 1 stating the issue was updated, and the other with comments. It would be nice if there was 1 email for each update noting what was changed (usually the status) as well as comments (if any were added).

  16. I would like to have the ability to email a file from Outlook to a user@freedcamp.com email adress. The subject will be the project name. The file then uploads under the project name that is mentioned on the subject line.

  20. Something to allow for an immediate "Complete", as some tasks to not require an "In Progress" state!

    Hi,

We have plenty of ways to complete task quickly.

    In List view:
    - click twice on task’s icon each task starts with to set ‘Complete’
    OR
    - drag complete label from right side panel to a task

In Kanban view – just drag task from No progress column to Completed column.

You can email me if any questions.

    Cheers,
    Igor
