When mousing over a task it expands vertically to reveal the + Edit ... buttons. My tendency is to place the mouse pointer right on the task list, which rapidly expands and contracts each task.
The visual effect is a bit nauseating. :-)
Is it possible to turn off this animation and just include the buttons on the same line as the task?
Or if the box expanded horizontally that would likely mitigate the effect, as well. Thanks!1 vote
We have now four different task views so it is unclear which one you were talking about but I believe it is fixed now.
Why have a start date if it does not affect the to-do task list? I wish the tasks that had not gone past the start date did not show up on the list of tasks todo until the start date has arrived. I often have tasks that are days or weeks out and they still so on the to-do list on the main screen even though it is not time to do them.3 votes
You can always filter out tasks that are far away and show only tasks that should be started or approaching that moment. You can also save this filter, name it and it will persist.
Currently you have to go through the ...-menu in every task to delete it, discouraging its use as an expansive todo-list, limiting it to being a reference workflow/collaboration tool where you are selective in what 'data' you add. Perhaps that is the idea, perhaps it is not.
If it is not, I would suggest (a) adding a 'bin' icon next to the 'pencil' one, making that action easier and (b) removing the prompt asking for confirmation, changing it to a 10 second 'undo' button for those that don't have the trash can of the premium tiers.1 vote
Also have Trash Bin and Bulk Edit that supports bulk delete
Would it be possible to add a new icon in the projects menu with an external link? That way we could for example add a link to special external resources for our clients3 votes
It can be done now with the Project Overview application and Custom Fields for Projects:
There is no location I can find other users to ask specific use questions or talk about different ways to use the tools provided. It would also be a place for freedcamp devs to mine information.3 votes
For now we use – https://www.facebook.com/groups/739117923221526/members/
I would be great to have the ability to add subtasks in the Freedcamp Android App.1 vote
I frequently use the option to Shift Dates to reschedule all subtasks under a parent task when viewing that parent task on the Task Board view for the associated project.
Likewise it would be helpful to have the same Shift Dates option for the subtasks listed under that parent task when I am viewing the Parent Task only - not on in the Task Board view.
The Shift Dates option for Sub Tasks would also be helpful in the Task Board view when a specific Project IS NOT selected1 vote

I use the email in feature extensively with Freedcamp, and that means that I have a whole lot of duplicate files everywhere in my projects, mostly because of signature images. There needs to be a way to handle the files better, to reduce clutter and the footprint from all of those useless files.5 votes
If you – remove all in message body except attachments you want to add as files. Edit the subject as it will become a file description in Freedcamp.
To delete duplicates – go to Files, in search box (1) type title::name_of_signature_image, make sure you search in folders and subfolders (2) – use bulk action (3) to delete all signature files (4).
Have a button for new task on the menu bar (at bottom of screen) next to calendar / Notifications to allow for easier task creation from a mobile, instead of tapping the 3 dot button in the corner.6 votes
It would be much easier if custom fields would show up on the task overview, the way they do in Trello. It would also be great if, when creating custom fields, we had the option to have the field appear on the overview if there is data for that field (text, checked box, etc.). Again, I'm looking at the way custom fields work in Trello.14 votes
I would like to have tasks that are my own but not associated with a project. We're looking to use Freedcamp across the organization (private school), both within and across departments. I would like to be able to add my own tasks that are not a part of a project but are just for me to do because they are a part of my job.1 vote

Currently you can view multiple projects on Gantt at once, but you cannot see task-level detail. This makes it difficult to see if tasks from separate projects overlap. Would be ideal if we could expand (+/-) the project to see tasks on multiple projects to see which tasks overlap each other.
For example, if you have multiple projects in process for a client, and you need to space out their review windows (so you don't give them multiple deliverables to review at once) it would help to see the tasks together on the Gantt to ensure proper scheduling.0 votes
You are looking at Gantt for Projects – https://freedcamp.com/Freedcamp_LxR/Freedcamp_Devel_yOf/wiki/wiki_public/view/hJbab#gantt-for-projects
If you open Tasks Board https://freedcamp.com/dashboard/tasks and switch to Gantt view you will see required detalisation.

I think it would be interesting to have a button to copy the text in the comments within the tasks, especially in the app.1 vote
Our office is all remote and it would be great to be alerted when someone completes a task my next step depends on. WITHOUT having to stalk email.
At the moment I need email updates for all activity and am enduring text updates about everything while I wait. That's distracting!1 vote
You set email notifications to ‘full’ which is not the default. Please check (6-7) https://freedcamp.com/Freedcamp_LxR/Freedcamp_Devel_yOf/wiki/wiki_public/view/phaab#settings and do not subscribe to items not assigned to you and you will not be notified. Right now with the ‘full’ level you get subscribed to absolutely all items in your projects.
Task dependencies are available on the Business and Enterprise plans only.

I noticed that there is a feature for @mention in desktop app & browser. However I could not be able to use @mention in mobile apps. Are there any error in my iPhone?1 vote
Done in comments, will be added to ‘Description’ in Jan 2020
