  1. Notification specifications: the way it is managed

    We have to click on a task in the notifications to know what has been done with it. The information that is in the specifications (when we click on the task) would be great to be seen before the task.
    EXEMPLE:
    "Name of the team member" commented a task / "Name of the task"
    INSTEAD OF:
    "Name of the task" > CLICK > "Name of the team member" commented a task

    The way it is managed now, we can miss a lot of notifications if we don't click on the task. would be great to not click at all on it.…

  2. Bid for Projects

    The ability to bid to be on a project. I work for a non profit volunteer organisation and we want people to be able to choose their projects, rather than be assigned. Thank you.

  3. Estimate templates

    An interface to create estimate templates would be great. the ability to save the line items you use regularly so you don't need to type them in every time. also it would be nice to be able to move the the position of a line item up or down with out having to delete it and retype it. Thanks otherwise this program is awesome and I will continue to use it.

    You can use an archived project with task lists or tasks with subtasks with all the templates you need – when you need to start a new process simply copy that project template task list or a task with subtasks to an actual project – use bulk edit or shift dates to quickly update all the attributes.

  4. All visible on dashboard

    All projects should be visible on the dashboard.

    I can't think of one benefit to showing only 5 and forcing the user to click "+ View all projects"

  5. Add a past due/future due filter under Due Date

    I like seeing a filtered list of what is Due in 7 or 30 days. Its there a way to add past due items to the same view.

    Essentially, anything upcompleted.

    Hi Chris,

    It is easy – simply Ctrl+Click to select multiple options.

    We also just added another option for Due Date filter – ‘Not Set’ which will be rolled to Freedcamp next week. This will allow to easily search for not completed tasks without due date set.

  6. Add a Project Status Toggle/Button in the Task View

    In the task view there are buttons to "add subtask", "edit task" and "delete task". Can you create another shortcut for toggle status? Clicking would take it to the next stage (from start, in progress, to completed) and if you click it when it is completed it will take it back to start. This would give a quick way to update the status without needing to get into the task.

  8. Activity feed like Jive or Facebook

    It's important to me that my team can scroll through a timeline and see all the tasks that i completed. Like a Facebook or Jive newsfeed. That way, the tasks that I complete no longer go unnoticed.

    Would be great if every items would have a 'like' button or 'comment' section so people can express gratitude.

  9. Mobile View: enhance Global Task Board functionality

    Would be awesome to be able to update Due Date, Priority and Assigned directly from Task Board in mobile view. Currently, I can only remove the before mentioned task details.

  10. Calendar - add event lists allowing to categorize events

    Currently with Tasks (and Discussions) I can go to the top right of the page, click on the gear (Settings) icon, then click on "Manage Task Groups" to create/edit/delete/order Task Groups. It would be great to have the same capability on the Calendar app for Events.

    The "Manage Event Groups" feature would work exactly the same as the "Manage Task Groups" feature with the same UI layout and capabilities.
    - [bonus feature]: the ability to color code Event Groups, even if limited to 8-10 colors.

  11. Type in a due date instead of scrolling through calendar

    My team schedules most tasks out months in advance, and I feel like I am losing a lot of time having to scroll through months of the calendar when assigning due dates. While I can type in a date in the field, it does not allow me to select that as a due date. Could there please be a way to type in a due date and select it instead of having to scroll through months of the calendar every time we need a new date?

    As a follow-up, have you given thought to allowing users to update due dates…

    Regarding: “have you given thought to allowing users to update due dates instead of deleting and reassigning dates when schedules change?”

    - totally possible via ‘edit task’ or by dragging and dropping new date in Tasks List view to a task – it will replace previously set date.

  13. List the tasks of the group in the right side panel, while working on a task

    I'm working on a slow connection (China) and it's a drag to go back and forth from a task to the task list.
    It would be great if all tasks of a project would be listed in a widget to the right of the screen, so that I can go to another task in the project without having to go back to the tasks screen again. (I'm not kidding - it takes 10 seconds...)

  14. Improve Tasks quick actions

    Right now, if I'm viewing a Task that's assigned to PERSON A, and now I want to assign it to PERSON B, I don't quite know how to easily do it. The way I do it is to edit the Task itself and then change the assignment.

    Is there any way to easily do it without editing (via a button like the 'ASSIGN TO ME')?

  15. Add option to mention other tasks that are related but not sub tasks

    some times I have a task that is related two other tasks but is not a sub task of them. and I want to know the relation between them.

  16. Events: allow to attach files

    I use the events-calender to give the organisation an overwiev of marketing activities - eq. advertisements when and where. I would be helpful if I could upload files to the events.

  19. Quick add comments from task view

    I know we can currently click the Comment button on a task which will take us into the Edit Task window and allow us to add a comment however I find this time consuming especially when adding comments to multiple tasks at once as I then have to click Return to Tasks before I can find my next task and continue adding comments.
    I use comments to track progress on a task so it would be great if clicking the comment button on a task just opened a popup allowing a comment to be entered and then once saved it…

  20. Link back to task from File upload

    It would be great to be able to click a file in the "Files" tab, and be able to click through to the task it was originally uploaded to. The benefit would be so that you could see the surrounding conversation that took place between your team and the client. Right now, whenever we want to see that information, we have to sort through to try and find the original discussion.
