  1. Custom Fields

    It would be great to be able to append my custom fields to the task overview, i.e. so I don't have to edit the task to view the custom fields.

    For example, I'd like to be able to assign tasks a Value and a Cost (e.g. Hours) for backlog management and prioritization.

  3. Manual date input for future tasks

    Hi, thank you so much for Freedcamp, it's great for my business needs.

    One feature which would be of use to me is to be able to manually input dates rather than picking from a calendar. The calendar picker is great for dates which are soon, but for long-time-in-the-future tasks (like several years in the future - e.g. deadlines for destroying confidential project data) it takes a while to click through all the months to get to where you need to be, and I can't see a way of editing a date without using the date picker.

  4. Back to Tasks link goes back to task board you came from

    Right now the back link will take you to the task board for the project even if you came from the task board. It would be nice if that link was intelligent to send back to where you were. I know the button is up there but it's a habit to click and forget. Seems like it should work this way.

    We would like a way to auto-generate a unique task ID number (very similar to what you have for issues, but for tasks).

  6. money spent doing each task

    when you have a task you can give it how much time you've spent on it, make a money button next to it so we can see how much money we spent doing it. thanks

  7. Project landing page, master landing page

    It often feels like I have to click around many places to get a glimse of what's happening on a project or in the whole freedcamp space. It would be great to have available an "everything" feed that would include discussions, tasks, etc without having to view them separately

  9. Tasks - allow to see tasks not grouped by task list/project

    I would like to be able to see all upcoming high priority tasks in order, regardless of associated project in the tasks dashboard. The filtering helps, but the project title takes up valuable space. Perhaps it could be inline with the task somewhere

  10. How to donate to support free tier?

    Honestly, I'm just starting to use Freedcamp for myself after using Basecamp for a year or so with church. I appreciate the free tier, but am not sure any of the paid options are for me. As such, I was wondering if there could be a "tip jar" so folks like me can at least kick in to keeping the lights on and ad free :)

  11. Either a "shortcut" or "link" to another project/list/task.

    I have lots of huge task lists but sometimes use a higher level list to organize those. In order to remember to look at the task list, I add a task saying "See xxxx list". Having a link there would allow me to go right to it.

  12. Home Dashboard > My Work > Tasks | Include project name w/Task

    I love the new Home dashbaord! But I think it might be helpful, under "My Work" and "Tasks" if the task could also include the name of the project the tasks is under. I sometimes have similar task names, but under different projects, so it's hard to differentiate at a glance. Just a thought and thanks for your consideration!

  13. Promote/demote task or subtask.

    Sometimes I'm not sure how I want to organize something and I end up needing to make subtasks into task list. Instead of having to cut and paste it would be nice to be able to "promote" a subtask into a new task list.

    Because we have so many projects, I find that the Recent Projects Lists gets in the way instead of helping me find what project I am looking for. I would like the ability to turn this off so it doesn't show.

    Most of the time each service related business wants their clients to be using Freedcamp in a very different way. Some do not use Discussions and some use Time Tracking so it will not be possible to create just one video and explain just what you need without overloading your customers with extra info they may never need.

    From what I know – typically, businesses create own induction video for customers and post it to them as a link during invitation or personally.

  18. The Gantt - navigate to tasks out of view faster

    Hi,

    While using the Gantt-chart it's not easy when tasks have a start date in the past. The task is potentially out of sight because it's far to the left from now.

    I think it would be a great improvement to the gant chart that:
    If tasks that have a start date but are not set to in progress/completed would shift automatically in the gantt chart to the now line. To complete this, a task with a start date and set to in progress and not yet completed should stretch in the Gantt chart to now or show the yet…

    Hi,

    Why not to create a project called Task list templates (archived) and copy task lists from it to existing or new projects on as needed basis?

    Copy and move tasks and task lists between projects is available on all paid plans. The Free plan allows to move tasks between task lists and copy tasks and task lists in the same project.

  20. Ability to create pseudo-users

    I'd like to be able to create team members without inviting them. Useful for showing task assignment to freelancers/contractors.
    A workaround is using dummy email accounts, but this shouldn't be necessary.
