A year calendar
Can you add a year calendar. A day, week, month calendar is nice but I need more visibility.

It isn’t a direct and perfect solution, but if you can get the data to Google Calendar or Outlook it opens up a lot more possibilities for what you want to do including yearly view -
Sorting Tasks
The list of todos should get a sorting so can be sorted by date, priority, user and progress.
A combining of the parameters would be very helpful!

For request to sort by multiple criteria – please post to a new topic.
Please consider this:
- grouping by one criteria and sorting by another For example, each group will be a Due Date and items sorted in each group by Priority- no grouping – tasks groups are not shown and sorting by multiple criteria. For example Due Date, Priority – you have one list sorted.
I would do grouping by various criteria nad no grouping first and after that would add sorting by multiple criteria.

Tasks - "compact view"
The task view is find for projects that only have a few tasks or task groups. However when you have a large number of tasks or task groups, it would be nice to be able to set it to 'compact' view to see more on screen. A bit like the way gmail has a compact view.

More detailed notifications for updated tasks
Currently, when member of my team updates a task, I get notification. The notification says only "Person X updated task Y" or something. It would be great, if the notification said what changed, was the status changed, was task finished, did somebody just posted comment? I get 10 notifications, but I still don't have a clue what happened at a glance

Add start/end time or duration for Calendar events
With the ability to link to outlook, it is critical to have either a duration or end-time of an meeting/event to be displayed in the calendar and outlook/ical calendar.

Tasks - filter to show all unfinished tasks to date
If there was a way to show all unfinished tasks to date without having to create a special filter would be great. For example: if the Filter By Due date would let you leave the first date range blank and allow @today in the second. This would give you the ability to see ALL uncompleted tasks without having to set both dates.

- Due date is Set + Due date In The Past + Due date is Today (possible now with Ctrl+click to select more than one option)In the requested case you only need to select:
Due date In The Past

Versioning in Files
Users will be able to make changes to files, update, etc. Details of these changes will then reflect on the file information. A big plus is also something like Dropbox's rewind feature for files.

Adding Tasks to Milestones
I would love to be able to have one high-level Milestone with a number of sub-tasks (term them what you'd like) that I can associate or assign to a milestone. For example - the hiring of a new employee would be the major milestone, but sub-tasks to that milestone would be to post a listing, identify candidates to interview, interview candidates, perform background checks, final interviews, job offer, then hire.

Single action to remove user from all projects/admin groups
Removing people from an organization expeditiously is a common enough need, and a sensitive enough issue, that things must be coordinated to remove someone's access across the board, all at once, to the extent possible. Coordinating with outside support would often not be possible.
I would see the absence of the ability to do this as a definite deal breaker for a lot of orgs, especially corporate ones, a required feature. Perhaps they would be willing to sponsor such a feature, if enough inside had already been convinced that they like the rest of the functionality, but it could also…

Custom Background images for projects or profiles,
It would be great and add to the quality of the software if we could personalize the background of a certain project when entered, or when you view a profile they could have their Specialized background to add to the feeling of comfort

Start/end date for projects & roll up calendar view for projects
Right now you can’t set start/end dates for projects in order to do high level planning. Would like to set a project start/end date and be able to have a calendar view where you can just see the the projects (not tasks). Perhaps you would have the ability to add milestones. This would essentially be a type of filter on what to display in the calendar. This would help with program planning for people trying to rollout many projects at once.

Emails & contacts with connection to Google
Connect Gmail and send emails directly via freedcam.
Same for google contacts.It will be awesome to get these features in freedcamp...

Global Team assigned to Project Groups
The Global Team update is great, but it would be helpful to allow a Global Team to be assigned to Project Groups to allow permission levels to propagate down across all projects in a group.
20 votesThis is completed. On the Free plan this is the only management system available now - users and global teams are added to groups and have access to all projects in a group. On paid plans you have a choice of advanced system as it was before or simple system.

Allow users to rename/give user friendly names to files they upload
Currently my file repository is hit and miss. If I rename a file and upload with a meaningful name, it's great. If others upload, I end up with files like ss8-xyz.doc and ghjbghjsdf.pdf. Would be good to be able to change the 'Display name' for each file regardless of what the actual file is called.
