  1. Some examples would be: 1. a widget that lists uncompleted tasks sorted by deadline 2. a widget that displays the list of bookmarks we set in Freedcamp, this would allow us to easily visit our bookmarked views on our mobile devices.

  3. A lot of tasks involves someone outside the company, like a client, a supplier, an agency, etc. So It would be great that in every task you can put a reminder (1 hour, 1 day or a specific date) to remind that the client, supplier, agency hasnt respond us. (could be a little bell from the quick menu).

    What do you think of

    - replacing Freedcamp bookmarks https://freedcamp.com/Freedcamp_LxR/Freedcamp_Devel_yOf/wiki/wiki_public/view/blcab with pinned items. The difference will be – you can pin pages, comments and add a short description as to why you pinned it (optional).

    - adding reminders with snooze capability – again it can be set on an item or comment with optional text. A reminder will show as a browser notification and on the Freedcamp notification page.
Singular view to all your reminders and pinned.

Questions: Do you want to set reminders for others as well?

Workarounds: you can always use https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/reminders/aplgdhgdhfeipojcjbhchmolaolealnd or similar as a workaround

  4. Each time tracker should show me the sum of all the time it has spent in "Doing" state. I should be able to override it or adjust it if I wish.

    a) I click "new tracker"
    b) It picks the current time and starts at 00:00 in "Stoppped" state
    c) I can add as many trackers like this as I like and edit their values at will
    d) When I start/pause/unpause a tracker, it updates itself with the time spent, no need for data entry by a human.

    I don't see why I would bother pausing or unpausing a tracker…

  7. Email notifications shouldn't create a different email subject for every change. It should be just one email subject per task and that's it.

Also it would be great if the task ID is kept in the subject at all times without it getting truncated.

We plan to try to make the following changes soon

    - add a special header Gmail now supports “in reply to” to be unique for all updates for the same item so all email notifications are threaded for all email notifications for that item (now they are not)

    - beta test with Tasks only email notifications:

    — change subjects to:

[Comment] – task ‘Provide new designs’ in [Mobile Applications] by Angel G.

[New] – task ‘Provide new designs’ in [Mobile Applications] by Angel G.

[Status] – task ‘Provide new designs’ in [Mobile Applications] by Angel G.

[Update] – task ‘Provide new designs’ in [Mobile Applications] by Angel G.

    — send email from ‘Freedcamp Tasks’ which will allow to see FROM column in your email client and be clear what are email notifications about Freedcamp Tasks

    — collect feedback and implement in all applications – Discussions, Issue Tracker, etc.

    We plan…

  8. Presently, only the account owner can add custom fields, which can then be assigned to a project by other users. This is hugely frustrating and time-consuming for that one person, so multiple users need to be given these permissions. I know you're working on a SysAdmin function that will allow other users the option. The sooner that is released, the better.

  9. Currently, there's a small notification in the top right corner when a discussion thread has a new comment. I'd love to see a further visual cue on the main discussions page when a new comment is added. Perhaps the discussion title becomes bold, or the discussion topic floats to the top of the list (or both?) This would be very helpful for those of us with many discussion threads simultaneously running.

  11. When a user is deleted from an account project/group have the ability to reassign that user's assigned tasks and any project ownership to another user. Comments in discussion would just leave user's name.

  13. Hi guys, just a small feature request. In the 'password' app, I don't understand why, when you are required to input the master password, that you can actually see the password. This for me is a major security downfall. This input field should be a 'password' input field (ie the characters are replaced with * characters).
The whole point of having a master password is that it should be secure - just my opinion :)
    Thanks very much,
    Keith

  14. I need some way to be able to say how much time is to be spent on a task, and then to track that time as it is used. All tasks at the moment are tracked by milestones, so far as I can see. Setting delivery dates is fine, but without know just how many estimated hours are left, and how far through each task is, it is difficult to plan daily activities to meat those milestones.

  15. We love that Freedcamp sends emails when Tasks and Issues (in Issue Tracker) are updated. However, each time a task or issue is updated, we will receive at least 2 emails: 1 stating the issue was updated, and the other with comments. It would be nice if there was 1 email for each update noting what was changed (usually the status) as well as comments (if any were added).

    Hi Katie,

We will change a way it is done. All changes done during 30 min or so(1) interval by one or different users will be combined into one email.

    (1) – if users keep updating an item we will not wait more than 30 min and will send email with all changes made. But, if there were 7 updates in the first 5 min interval, for example, and no more updates in 5 minutes – we will send email in 10 min with 7 changes made on item. This approach can adapt and wait just a bit longer if people are actively participating collecting updates to send fewer emails, while still limited to 30 min chunks of time to make sure you haven’t missed important conversation by receiving email update too late.

    Do you like this approach?

    Cheers,
    Igor

  16. We often get two or three notifications in a row for a task:
1: that it has had comment added
    2. that it has been started
    3. that it has been completed.

Sometimes the users click the wrong button and they end up resetting it back to not-started, generating another notification!

So many emails leads to them being ignored.

Could these and other updates be combined somehow?
Perhaps the changes could be buffered and then sent as in one email only if there actually is a change.

Or could the interface be tweaked to avoid separate actions:.
    For example

    Hi James,

We plan to do as described here -https://freedcamp.uservoice.com/forums/126945-suggestions-for-features/suggestions/14881758-fewer-emails-when-tasks-and-issues-are-updated

    >Or could the interface be tweaked to avoid separate actions

We will skip all intermediate states done by one user and mention only initial state and last state so you can change status 10 times during 10 minutes and only one email will go out with the first and last states and you a s a person making that change.

    Will it work?

    Cheers,
    Igor

    Hi All,

    Please list what is required.

Dedicated email to allow people to email in new issues – DONE

In the scope on next change:

    - allow an issue reporter (not a Freedcamp user) to respond back to update an issue

    - clearly mark such comments

    - clearly mark responses you are sending to an issue reporter

As a result you can use Issue Tracker:

    - to let external users to report issues via email or embedded form we already provide

    - to let external users to continue conversations by replying to emails you email them as a response

    - to see 3 types of comments when you open an issues – internal comments, issue reporter comments, your responses to an issue reporter.

    Thank you
    Igor

  20. There should be a possibility to add an estimate on how long the TODO/Task should potentially take, while adding.

Track also the date/time when the TODO/task was Started (similar to one where it tracks when it ended) or even allow the same to be specified at any other point of time.

Also display the time difference between the "started" and "completed" times for the task
