Just installed freedcamp for gmail. I wanted to add an email as a task. Clicked Add New Item. First thing it does is ask me to select a project. Unfortunately I have a lot of projects and the add-on only shows me a fixed number of projects. There is no way to scroll through the entire project list as far as I can tell and there is no way to search on a project name. So there is no way for me to create a task in the project I want to use.0 votes
We pushed a new version that should be available now – it uses drop downs to allow you to select projects if we detect more than Google allows us to use with cards interface.
The desktop app has much better performance and doesn't seem to slow down the more you use it (as the web version does - fixed by using Ctrl+F5 every so often) but you cannot copy and paste text or task links via the desktop app, which is very frustrating. It would be a very useful addition to an otherwise better version.19 votes
We use wikis to track notes from our weekly meetings. To keep them chronological, we number them. It work for 1-9, but when we get to number 10, the wiki organizes the meetings as 1, 10, 2, 3, etc.1 vote
The only option we can suggest is to use 001, 050 100 – prefix your wikis with zeros. The only way to sort wiki titles naturally as you describe will unfortunately be a performance killer for the database extraction for us. This is not a trivial topic btw https://www.meridiandiscovery.com/how-to/why-windows-sorts-numeric-file-names-differently/
Although hide completed in ON; completed sub-task of a NOT completed Parent TASK; should still be shown
1) "hide completed" ON:
2) AND when the parent task is NOT completed:
3) the completed sub-tasks continue to be shown.
This is very helpful to see which sub-tasks are completed before and to get more context of the MAIN tasks and its dependencies.3 votes
A workaround is provided with an option on how to see those completed subtasks
I am happy you have implemented backdating of tasks for those of us who complete, but forget to cross it off until way later. Can you allow this feature for subtasks? I think everyone lives in subtasks, so for me, it is even harder for me to remember to cross it off on the date it happened.1 vote
It will be launched next week – please see attached.
I love the "Batch Edit" feature for changing due dates, start dates and status, sure makes changes a "batch" of info easier. I was wondering if you could add the ability to shift dates to the batch edit as well? There are times in larger projects that you want to shift certain dates (without a status) while leaving others along.3 votes
It will be released this weekend.
Just waiting and wishing on the ability to add events on the mobile app3 votes
In public beta to be generally released next week – https://blog.freedcamp.com/2021/02/23/mobile-application-new-updates-6/
At the moment, Freedcamp only uses due dates when shifting the dates of a new project created from a template. Vote if you'd like to take start dates into account too.7 votes
Instead of having dozens of project tiles, I group like tasks lists into a single project. I would like to be able to email tasks into a task list within a project so I can file this task in a single step without having to move it into the appropriate task list.4 votes
Currently there's no option to add your company's bank account details on the invoice?1 vote
You can add Bank Details to Terms and Conditions
I use the email in feature extensively with Freedcamp, and that means that I have a whole lot of duplicate files everywhere in my projects, mostly because of signature images. There needs to be a way to handle the files better, to reduce clutter and the footprint from all of those useless files.5 votes
If you – remove all in message body except attachments you want to add as files. Edit the subject as it will become a file description in Freedcamp.
To delete duplicates – go to Files, in search box (1) type title::name_of_signature_image, make sure you search in folders and subfolders (2) – use bulk action (3) to delete all signature files (4).
It would be great if tasks could be moved as subtask to another task in the Android App and in the mobile view of the website.3 votes
Please see ‘Extra actions’ here https://blog.freedcamp.com/2020/11/10/mobile-application-new-updates-4/
Have a button for new task on the menu bar (at bottom of screen) next to calendar / Notifications to allow for easier task creation from a mobile, instead of tapping the 3 dot button in the corner.6 votes
I would be great to have the ability to add subtasks in the Freedcamp Android App.1 vote
Our office is all remote and it would be great to be alerted when someone completes a task my next step depends on. WITHOUT having to stalk email.
At the moment I need email updates for all activity and am enduring text updates about everything while I wait. That's distracting!1 vote
You set email notifications to ‘full’ which is not the default. Please check (6-7) https://freedcamp.com/Freedcamp_LxR/Freedcamp_Devel_yOf/wiki/wiki_public/view/phaab#settings and do not subscribe to items not assigned to you and you will not be notified. Right now with the ‘full’ level you get subscribed to absolutely all items in your projects.
Task dependencies are available on the Business and Enterprise plans only.
It is a community effort and we support all that is translated by our users. Please learn more here https://freedcamp.com/Freedcamp_VIP_Axm/Translations_sCc/wiki/wiki_public/view/UQbab
Pull in outlook messages and attachments into the task attachment section1 vote
It is working in all places where there is a tiny drag and drop files here zone – tasks, comments, files, etc. please see https://drive.google.com/file/d/1APT1yHfzhOf8thKyddDewcar8kWd81Ji/view?usp=sharing
Currently you can view multiple projects on Gantt at once, but you cannot see task-level detail. This makes it difficult to see if tasks from separate projects overlap. Would be ideal if we could expand (+/-) the project to see tasks on multiple projects to see which tasks overlap each other.
For example, if you have multiple projects in process for a client, and you need to space out their review windows (so you don't give them multiple deliverables to review at once) it would help to see the tasks together on the Gantt to ensure proper scheduling.0 votes
You are looking at Gantt for Projects – https://freedcamp.com/Freedcamp_LxR/Freedcamp_Devel_yOf/wiki/wiki_public/view/hJbab#gantt-for-projects
If you open Tasks Board https://freedcamp.com/dashboard/tasks and switch to Gantt view you will see required detalisation.
