Collapse in a taks the subtask for each item with a minus / plus symbol.
Now it is possible to collapse of expand ALL the subtasks of a project. With the cogwheel.
But it would be great if you could callapse or expand certain subtasks for each task and remember these settings.
This way you can collapse subitems that are finished from a task.
To put it simpel, just a plus and minus symbol, in front of each task and subtasks.9 votesPlease check animation in this documentation chapter to learm how to expand and collapse individual tasks/subtasks https://freedcamp.com/help_/tutorials/wiki/wiki_public/view/6Zaab#expanding-and-collapsing-tasks-and-subtasks

Mac desktop app only pastes images in comments when you try to copy-paste text
I'm trying to paste text in the comments in the desktop app (Mac version) and it wont let me paste as text. It doesn't give you the option to right click and "Paste special" so you can choose "unformatted text" or something, and it won't allow you to paste just the text by using cmnd+shift+V
It only appears as an image which is 100% annoying and unpractical. For me it's a reason to not use the app, which means not use the software at all (working from the browser is not practical)1 votePlease contact support with the details – https://freedcamp.com/Freedcamp_LxR/Freedcamp_Devel_yOf/wiki/wiki_public/view/Xgaab

rearrange projects and groups within the drag and drop feature
Hi, it seems many people have this issue i had and could only solve it by searching in your forum for a solution to move one project within a group to another group. I think it would make sense to be able to drag and drop the projects from one group to another via the already existing feature of reordering projects, rather having to do that via the edit project route, as it would be more user friendly. That does not mean you should get rid of the edit project route, but it would be better for all users, if…

calendar widget with a list view
Similar to the calendar events list on the home page, it would be helpful to have a calendar list view widget on the widget page.
3 votesWe are already working now on a new concept called Dashboards that will support the Summary widget (pie, bar, battery, or card output), Table, and Buttons widgets. Essentially dashboards are custom reports and you can create as many dashboards as you need with as many widgets with drag and drop capability to set your perfect layout. Eventually, Dashboards will supersede the Widgets page. Dashboards can be private, shared with all team members (new members will see it too) or selected team members. Initially, dashboards will be added to the Enterprise plan (sample attached)
We will not further develop Widgets page for this reason

Calendar Field / Pop-up / Set First Day of the Week
The current calendar pop-up when clicking in a date field displays Monday as the first day of the week and Sunday as the last. This is a bit jarring for US-based users which are used to seeing a calendar view that displays Sunday as the first day of the week and Saturday was the last. It would be nice to have a toggle to alter this behavior.
1 voteHi! This is already possible. The My Account page has a Work Week Settings section where you can choose Sunday as the start of the week: https://freedcamp.com/manage/account#info
Sunday will then appear as the first day of the week in both the calendar and the date picker on item creation/edit forms.

Reccuring tasks, completed tasks and team overview
So these are the three main things that are making me reconsider using FreedCamp.
Recurring tasks are a big deal for most businesses but I feel that here they are done in a weird way and makes the whole process contradictory to what it's supposed to be.
When I set a recurring task, I expect the task to behave in a logical way: to appear in my list on the days I chose (regardless of the start or end dates) - I do not want to see a duplicate of the task before the recurrence date - unless I go…
3 votesPlease repost each suggestion separately or we will. We try to separate requests and do not have here a collection of unmanageable wish lists.
Re: “I don’t want to see the tasks I completed – why can’t they be archived automatically?” the answer is simple – there are users who do not want them to be automatically archived so we provide an advanced and user-friendly filtering system when you can set what you want to see – for example, upcoming tasks only.
Thanks for posting and your understanding.

Ability to share individual tasks-etc. by links/hyperlinks
Sometimes I want to mention a task in a description.
So a hyperlinked task would be great.
Thanks!3 votesThis is already possible. Click on the task to open its page, copy the link, and share it with your project members in comments. It will show up as a name with a hyperlink, not just a URL.

Always show all projects
When we go through all our projects during the weekly production meeting, we bounce back and forth between individual projects and the project overview board. It's a bit noisy to have to click "show all projects" EVERY TIME we go back to the overview.
Would be great to have an option to toggle "always show all projects".
:)
1 voteAlready possible through the Project Groups: Expanded option in the Project board’s settings menu

all links that are placed into tasks or project's open in new tabs
Links currently open in the same tab, it would be great if they could open in new tabs to that it doesn't move away from Freedcamp.
1 voteIt is a never-ending battle. As soon as we change it – we have unhappy customers who do not like it. There are plenty of options https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/3520860?hl=en available in any browser including enforcing browser to do so by default

Task completion dates -
When you click "Task Completion," it would be great to be able to enter the date you actually completed the task, rather than have the system automatically enter the date you clicked "completed" (or at least an option to override the automatic entry). Sometimes, I finish a task, but forget to click that it's completed until several days or even a week later. It would be helpful to be able to enter the date I actually completed it, for tracking purposes.
1 voteMarking as Declined since you can already do this by clicking on the “Completed On” attribute in the task list, or by editing the task.

Calendar filter
I would like to be able to filter the calendar by tags.
I have task and subtask that are similar work but are repeated in multiple projects. Like schedule social media post. Right now I tag the task so we can see all post that need to be done at once but we can’t show the in one calendar view so someone can easily see all of the task that need to be completed across multiple projects in a calendar view.
It would be great to be able to filter the calendar by tags and enable view off all of…

Extended Formatting in Tasks and Comments
Currently the WYSIWYG editor in Tasks Description, Comments are limited where there are no options to set text formatting. Eg. Heading 1, Heading 2, Preformatted, Code. There are also no tables.
As a Software Engineer working on tasks, especially when it involve coding, it will be useful to have <code>.
As a Business User showing figures in tables, it will be useful to be able to edit right from the editor itself.
Currently, the workaround requires me to paste from another text editor. (albeit the formatting works, but no option to pick the formatting from WYSIWYG editor)

Notification filtering (only comments)
The easiest thing would be an option to only receive notifications for comments.
Even better would be similar to how Facebook allows you to go to Settings > Notifications and there's a list of items like "Comments, Tags, Reminders...". When you click on one you get 3 options: "Push, Email, SMS" and you can turn On or Off each one.

Mute Task Notifications on Notifications Page
When muted then it will not show up again when there are updates. I constantly get notifications on tasks that I don't need to be involved with.
1 votePlease unsubscribe from those tasks or go to the Notifications page and mark all unread updates as read.

Template Market - create a place for users to share templates publicly
-> Current status:
We have to create a whole new project, set it up, write all the tasks, assign user roles, etc...
and AFTER THAT, we can copy the template. for reusage
This COST amount of time--> What's the Idea about?
Simply... Users offer their templates for free or a small fee. You can shop them and you just have to do some minor changes to them.
Plus: It will help new users to get along with freedcamp.
This will SAVE amount of time---> What's the Background?
Projects in the same business are almost similar.
For example in…3 votesWe tried – people are not interested to share it.

Notifications page - show a parent (sub)task for a subtask
Notifications page - show a parent (sub)task for a subtask
1 voteWill make page unreadable – simply click View’ and a drawer will open and show you all this info. besides it can be 5th level subtasks so a higher level will not always work anyway, sorry about that.
