Tasks - add Start time and End time
I assign him task to start work at 4.00 pm xyz task he clicks and it shows me that ABC has started working on this, I will set a fix target that 5.30 pm in 1.30 hours I am expecting this out put from you, so once at 5.30 PM task is auto stopped, ABC has to just put the number in the task completion so I would come to know if the assigned task is achieved as per the target or not

Love the freedcamp apps - really look and feel well considered, designed, implemented - except for this Gannt / task timings issue
We break up out milestones in to little checklists / tasks - some would need to be as short 10 mins - this is vital or us - even if one could only asign time blocks for lets say 10 , 15, 30, 60, mins, par example. Deal breaker without. We need to to be super gramular with out tasking and planning....

The one main reason I can't use freedcamp as a project management platform with my entire team is I need to be able to communicate start and stop times for certain tasks as well as specific times for deadlines. Currently I can only set these for certain dates. It's sad, but it's a deal breaker.

In project management, tasks that take longer duration (say a few days or more) need not me managed with time until they are actually worked on. When the task is taken up by the assigned person, they may choose to "spread" it on the calendar view using hourly slots. If the effort (hours) of a task is already captured, then the remaining effort can also be automatically tracked.
On the other extreme, there may be little to-do activities that take only minutes and only serve as reminders. These too are tasks (tiny tasks), but may be categorized as "effort not tracked". If it's possible to drag and drop these tiny-tasks too in the calendar hour slots, that'll will be great.

If you could please add the ability for a user to add start/end times for tasks we would be very happy... me too.

All Tasks should allow you to add a start and end TIME and DATE. This should also show up on your calendar in the agenda view so you also know what order you are doing your tasks based on start times.

@Maikol - yes, it is a duplicate. We use the free plan which does not allow us to merge requests and sum up the votes.
-
@Maikol - we generally are good at changing statuses to Planned/Started/Completed and keep this site in sync with the development process. The status will be changed when it will be planned.

This would be a great tool to help manage projects.

As a new organisation using Freedcamp this is a critical issue for us as we regularly have multiple tasks being completed by different people all with dependencies on the same day ..... particularly when deadlines are looming

This is somewhat critical to how I manage my tasks/work. I like to spread out tasks across the day and give actual time deadlines on certain tasks.

Hi, im also in for this.
I really need the feature of giving a task a start time, so it shows correctly on the calendar.FX, at 4pm do this, instead of ''All day''
I find this feature quite relevant as a Calendar / Task program -

Yes please!! Would like to have this feature available!!

Please add this feature

I would like to upvote this feature. It would be very helpful to distribute tasks hourly and also be able to apply time filters in the daily calendar view.

I only need due times, but yes, deadline times are imperative.

@Andy - this suggestion is to add an option to say this task start 18 Aug 8 am and end 19 Aug 5 pm

Except it probably shouldn't auto-stop. Many tasks take longer than expected in software development.
