Parent task name displayed in calenders and task widgets.
At the moment the calendar and task widgets displays only the subtask name. Having the option to display parent tasks would make the calendar more informative.
For example Task1 "clean study" has subtask "clean windows", and Task2 "clean bedroom" has substask "clean windows". So the calender would be more informative it listed. -Clean Study/ Clean windows and - Clean Bedroom/ Clean windows.

Hi Robert,
I do agree but Calendar cell has limited size. “Clean Study/ Clean windows” will probably fit but not “[BUG] Complete date shown without accounting users TZ/ Check other application where we show dates”.
may be in Agenda view and Day view only and on hover/click in Weekly and Monthly views?
Cheers,
Igor

To give a specific example relating to my situation. I am exploring Freedcamp for the use is 3D animation. When working on an assets many main task have identical subtasks e.g. Model, Texture, and Rig. It is only their parent tasks that identify what the asset is e.g Character/01_Bill/Model, and Character/02_Jane/Model, which I would probably abbreviate to Char/02_Bill/Mod to easily fit into the calendar.
At the moment my workaround would be to repeat parent task names in the subtasks names.

At the moment if a Task name is to long for the calendar it gets truncated at the end. If there was a display parent task option it could be truncated from the start if the combination of task titles were too long, keeping the assigned task in focus.
If a user wants this to be functional they would manage their naming to fit the space.
Task Clean/Study/Windows
Task Clean/Bedroom/Windowsat the moment they just get
Task Windows
Task Windowsbut even adding it just to day calendar and hover/click would be helpful.

Displaying the Task Group would also be helpful.
