When googling for a standard user for assigning tasks, I found this. Apparently, this was already requested 4 years ago. Can we get this please?

This would be a really useful feature for me - I often add a lot of tasks in quick succession and frequently forget to add me as the "assignee".

Having a setting perhaps on a per project level to define a default assignee (individual or group) to tasks created would be useful.

@Rob - try this:
- switch to list view if you use Kanban or Gantt
- create a bunch of tasks - just title and descriptions
- drag and drop due dates and priority as well as a tag with your name from right side panel to tasks.

A default assignee per project would be great. In the absence of being able to bulk edit tasks. My most common operation is creating tasks for myself, even within teams.

I would prefer an option to select the default "assigned to" person in each project or general in options. E.g. I have an "Operational project", that I would like to have all the tasks assigned to my admin. It would save me few clicks daily and some time too... in the long run it is minutes saved monthly and maybe hours of time yearly.

The idea with 3 tasks (in a row?) assigned to the same person looks good to me.

May be it will be better to go adaptive style?

If you are in a solo project - tasks are assigned to you
If not solo after you created 3 tasks and assign all of them to yourself it becomes a new default. If you crated 3 unassigned - it becomes a default etc.

But, and your questions look fine, if there is only one user in project, efault be this person.

Maybe, something like "Global option" in account settings (Set a default assigner to me), and Local option in every project (Set default assigner <dropdown [users]>)..
