Global Calendar - mark a task complete / change due date
Currently you have to open a tasks' full information page to mark it completed or change its due date from the Calendar view. It would make the view much more usable if we could check off completed tasks directly from that view and either click to open an "edit due date" modal window or simply drag it on the month / week views to the appropriate date.

@FS - I think you are after resource allocation similar to what Microsoft does when you book meetings so you can book a projector 3 and meeting room 1 other can no longer book for the same time. This is completely different idea - please feel free to post it separately. Chemistry/Research Labs can definitely use it to make sure equipment will not be holding any tasks due to overbooking.
Cheers,

If teams are working with certain equipment that has limited availability. If two people need to use the same equipment on the same day, then having assigned times to complete the task will help users be able to get work done without conflicts.

Please give me examples of tasks (not events) where hour and minute for start/end is needed
Thanks

1. "simply drag it on the month / week views" ... yes please
2. "edit the hour and minute of each assigned task "
if we had this two features available, it would be great .. best program ever

I would also love to see the sub-task(s) in the window that pops up when I click on a task in the calendar view (project & global calendar).

I would love love love that (global calendar) option too :)
P.S. Luke, I don't know if its possible, but maybe you can change 'calendar' in your title to 'global calendar'?

Hey Igor,
Thank you for the response! I do mean the global calendar. The "View Item" link works in a new tab and the "Edit Item" one on the project calendar in a modal, but some AJAX functions allowing you to click on fields and update them without loading a popup or new tab, drag tasks to other due dates, or simply click the small colored circle to mark progress would be nice.
For visual people like me that work primarily from the month view or day view of the global calendar, it would certainly feel more smooth.
