Not to set due dates but due days
Right now we can chose to set due dates for tasks. But when I use a project as a template I would love to set due days in stead of due dates. So for example; when I make a new project, from a template, the first task should be done in 5 days, the second task in 2 weeks, the third in one month after the start.
Simply set due dates in the template correctly and when you make a copy we allow you to shift all due dates from first or last for a new project. http://blog.freedcamp.com/2016/09/20/use-project-templates-to-plan-backwards/

@Frank - we already added start date in Tasks when we launched Gantt on Business and Enterprise plans. We plan to add Start date on Lite plan soon too.
Free plan will continue to use Due dates only for projects planning.
Cheers,

The simple option to enter start and end dates for a Task (like Events) would work great for me. Since the Calendar picks up tasks, it would save me the step of having to enter start/end dates in Events as well.

@Deon - will addition of start date AND estimated time help.
You will be able to set:
- start on 5th, estimate 24 hours
OR
- start on 5th end on 15th - Freedcamp will show duration based on 8h/day - weekends unless you also set estimated hours/days
OR
- due on 15th duration 24 hours - Freedcamp will start reminding a person assigned to start this task on 13th -

Just adding due days insteda of due dates , will still be easier. Something worth looking into.

But i do not want to set dates, but days. Like in 5 days this tasks should be done. Not on 5 september for example. And I would love to see a due date for a task group.
