Custom tags
In addition to existing tags: Project users, statuses of tasks (completed/in progress) etc. would great to be able to define custom tag categories and custom tags within the categories so we can tag tasks with anything we set up for ourselves. For example: have category Type with tags: Idea, Confirmed feature, Rejected feature or category Version with tags 1.0, 1.1 etc.
Hi All,
It is released now – https://blog.freedcamp.com/2018/11/26/new-feature-tags/
-
Please note - tags will show in filters only after you created at least one tag - otherwise they are invisible to keep UI clean for those who do not want to use tags.

@Freedcamp- Thanks, I see it now!
-
@Alex- please contact help@freedcamp.com regarding tags missing in the desktop version - ideally send a screenshot of the page in a browser and in the app showing the difference for the same page.

I like this feature! However, I feel it's currently too time-consuming to add tags to existing items. There should be the option of having your tags in the sidebar, next to Low/Medium/High priority. You should be able to drag tags onto items like you can drag Priority and Progress.
Then you should be able to see tags next to your item in the list view just like you can see Priority and Progress.
Lastly, the ability to filter by Tags is missing from the Freedcamp desktop app.
Very powerful and useful feature! I think if you add these suggestions, this feature may get used more often. Thanks!

@Jenna - thanks - all are valid points and will be done.

This is great feature, however can you perhaps move the module to top of the page instead at the bottom? It's hard to see the remaining list of created tags when it's placed at the bottom.

Just an suggestion.

@Adam - only while in beta. When released - it will be available for all users on all plans. We plan to make it a 'module' so teams will be able to switch it off if they do not use tags and do not want to see extra UI in their Freedcamp.
You can see a list of available modules here https://freedcamp.com/marketplace see subtitle 'Module' on cards shown.

To enable it we will need to email you with our teammates' emails, or these will be released automatically for all users this week?

Hi team,
i can not see any tags function. you said "Changed to early August - sorry about it." -

Tags would be most helpful for us. We like to ascribe a level of effort tag to tasks, e.g. t-shirt size (this is a "small" effort, "medium" effort, etc.) It would be helpful to have the ability to color code and tag tasks accordingly.

it's late August ? Any updates on Tags

A workaround I discovered in the interim is using hashtags and the search by text feature to view tasks by "tags".
