Assign task to more than one person
Currently you can only assign a to-do to one person or every person.
It would be great to be able to assign a to-do to 2< people.

It is now available on all paid plans. All existing paying customers (as of 15 Nov 2021) will have to enable it. This is because not all project managers are fans of shared tasks responsibility and we do not want to mess with our customer’s current setup.
All users upgrading to paid plans will have it enabled by default but can easily disable it too.

Very vital feature, is there an update?
Anyone the task is assigned to should be able to change the status.
User groups are also a good option.
For us, tracking is key. I want to be able to see in reports everyone who is contributing their time to a project. It helps us know where we are most tapped out in people resources and how best to balance. -

I would love this feature for my team. It'd be great if any person assigned can change the status.

Having this option would be great. And I think that any person assigned should be able to change status

This is definitely something my team is interested in having as a feature! Currently, we use Wunderlist which only has the ability to assign a to-do to one person, and we're hoping to find a tool that does allow multiple people to be assigned to a task/sub-task.

Any update on this? Is this feature expected to be released in 2017? Thanks!

Re: "Also I don't like that if I'm the one creating a task..." - this is completely irrelevant topic. Please try to post a new feature requests as otherwise it most likely be missed.

Also I don't like that if I'm the one creating a task, my name isn't in the list to check or uncheck--it's checked by default, I assume, but if I'm setting up a project with lots of moving parts, I don't need to get email reminders for everyone else's tasks just because I'm the one who put the schedule into Freedcamp. I want the option to uncheck myself from certain notifications/assignments.

I think there are two different ways that this can be done - and both need to occur:
a) assign a group a task - i.e. Task ___ must be completed. Sally & Joe are assigned to do that. Sally checking box complete also makes Joe's box go to complete.b) assign same task to a group - but each must complete task individually. i.e. Sally & Joe both must complete task ___. Sally checking box complete does NOT affect Joe's task being complete. Person who assigned task would be able to see status of who completed/did not complete task.
A is good for a team that must complete an assignment jointly. B is good for team members who each must complete a task (i.e complete time shit, sign permission slip, fill out employee evaluation). Each person must complete same thing.

Agreed--even the ability to add RACI to this would be *amazing*. Then we can tie to who is responsible, accountable, etc.

That would be a great option as I have the same message that I need multiple people to do in different areas.
Currently I have to write the same task 10 times and add a different name to each.

Hi,
I'm Diana and I'm having a difficulty to use freedcamp because I need to do multiple task cards just to assign 2 or 3 persons to one task.
Can you add a feature that we can do a task then assign to multiple users but not everyone?
-
@Anna - yes all project users except those who have 'User' security profile can reassign tasks to other users in a project.
