Issue Tracker - add Custom Fields support
Add Custom Fields support to Issue Tracker application
Part of the plan for 2021. We will be switching our own support to Freedcamp’s own Issue Tracker too.
Current issue types reflects software development terminology. Need to edit the list to include project and quality management terms such as Budget, Non-Conformance, Resource, Time...
I work as a physical product developer so software issues are irrelevant to us even though the issue tracker seems very nice. A simple way to just edit the list would suffice.

Priority and Severity fields for Issues
We use the Issues module in Freedcamp for bug tracking (and other things as well).
In BTS (Bug Tracking System) tools that I've worked with in the past at commercial software companies, we usually categorized defects with respect to Severity and Priority. Severity has to do with the consequences of not fixing the bug, and Priority has to do with the importance of fixing an individual defect relative to the importance of fixing other bugs.
Many times we used 1, 2 and 3 for the standard values for both of those fields.
In the Freedcamp Issues record type, there are no fields for severity. We could use custom fields for this but (I believe) we cannot filter or sort using custom fields. Filtering and sorting are pretty important capabilities to have in a BTS.
This is exactly what I'm looking for as well. I think many people use this outside of software development. The ability to customize the field would allow the app to fit multiple business types.
This would be great to have in the Issue Tracker. Different departments require different applications to report. This would be nice to collect data on which apps are having issues

Me too!... This is exactly what I'm looking for, but I'm not a developer. So would like to be able to customize the fields. once we have them in, We would also need to be able to filter based on those items... but first things first.

I would like to edit/change the labels in the tabs under Issue Tracker to better track my classes. This would make the app much more usable :). Thanks.
I agree, this is essential for the issue tracker to work properly, especially in sorting, grouping, and so on.
I agree that the ability to customize the type and other related data fields would be imperative to this to be a worthy solution for me to use in my business.

Also some kind of field for hourly estimates would be useful.

I'd the ability to have chargeable items in the issue tracker, so basically some more statuses on an issue, if the chargeable flag was set to yes then a time estimate field should then be available.
This would then lead to having customisable lists for the status, priority and type fields, so we can add things such as ordered to status and Enhancement to Type, etc....

I'd be using issue tracker for customer enquiries not software development. So per project, I'd like to be able to edit the values of the options in Type, Priority and Status. I'd like to set the defaults for those and the Assigned to and Due date fields too.
It would be nice to be able to set the due date based on an SLA (for the priority)
