Tasks recurrence - allow to set defaults
Most if not all of my reoccurring tasks need to happen weekly on one day of the week forever. It would be nice to set either at an account, project, or global basis default reoccurring task settings. Having to adjust the weekly recurring settings down to just one day by deleting Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. and then setting it to never end is time consuming when creating several tasks. Thank you.

"Imagine today's task you decided to change the due date 3 days later so it becomes a 3-day task recurring daily. The next task we will create will be created 3 days task if we will take start/due date duration that is now 3 days
To achieve what you are asking for we will have to add duration to recurrence settings so you specify daily and 1-day duration. In this case, if you change the duration for the already created last task to 3 days the next one created will remain 1-day duration."If you toggle the recurrence switch for a new task, I think it should erase and disable the start and end date fields. Then use the recurrence field to specify when to start the future generated tasks, the frequency to repeat them, and the duration of the newly generated tasks. Then the future generated tasks have their start and end dates set from the recurrence parameters only. If you change the start or end dates of a generated task, it only affects that task and not the definition of the recurrence or future generated tasks.
One thing I would note. When you specify the duration, you should be able to specify various units of time. Like some repeating tasks I have are weekly tasks, so I can say "generate this task every Wednesday and make its duration seven days" or "one week." In either case the newly generated tasks would run from Wednesday to the following Tuesday and a new one would be generated next Wednesday. It would also be nice to specify a duration in "calendar months". Currently I have some tasks that I need to do once a month. What I do right now is just specify the start date as the 1st and the end date as the 28th because the shortest month has 28 days. And that's fine. It's no big deal. But it would be better if I could say "repeat this task on the 1st of every month and make it last for one calendar month. By definition, no matter what the start date is, the task's duration would be set to end on the last day of the month.
Thank you for considering this suggestion. As much as I like Freedcamp, this issue has alway bugged me. Now that I know how it works I can adjust my filters and recurring tasks accordingly. But it would be awesome if you could implement it as described above.
