2-Way sync with Google Calendar
I would love to be able to sync my Google calendar (both ways) with Freedcamp to allow me to see events that I create in Google Calendar in our Freedcamp, as well as items that I create within Freedcamp on my Google calendar (e.g. 2-way sync). This would be especially helpful when creating events that require invitations to be sent to people who are not Freedcamp users, (e.g. clients) and would allow us to easily duplicate events easily into other (e.g. Personal) Google calendars.

Strange that this haven't been commented upon by Freedcamp for many years?

Update on this? My primary use case would be having "context" from other calendars when looking at the daily recap or home pages, where it would be useful to see event times from other calendars alongside the tasks and FC calendar events for the day.

I along with many of my clients need to manage their tasks around their meetings. Managing tasks from the calendar doesn't make sense but managing the tasks around existing meetings/calendar time blocks in Freedcamp. GetPlan.co is kind of doing this but they don't seem to be progressing with updates and improvements. I love that I can see my calendar in my task management app and plan my tasks for the day and week.
Please make this a priority. It seems to have a lot of votes.

Hi Freedcamp team, any update/ETA on this feature? It solves a lot of problems that we are currently facing with setting up meetings esp when it requires inviting external people.

Any update on this? Seems the most sensible idea but yet to be implemented?
Essentially, I could have all my meetings from Outlook/Google Calendar syncing to Freedcamp, but keep all my task deadlines within Freedcamp and seem them in the calendar too.

Hi folks, is there any ETA on this feature requested over 4 years ago?
I rely so heavily on google cal that the lack of two-way sync makes the Freedcamp calendar feature practically useless. I know I may not be the typical use case, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Igor asked for an example of a system that allows for two-way sync. I know there are a few out there, but one that comes to mind is https://youcanbook.me.
Hope that's useful! And thanks for all the hard work :)

I would also love to have this feature. I regularly use many google calendars to schedule my life but I would prefer to use Freedcamp as my hub for organization. Right now I have to use freed camp for tasks and google for calendar but I would ideally like to just use Freedcamp.

@Maikol - no ETA at this stage, sorry about it.

I too am excited to see two-way Google Cal sync. Sometimes I want to add an event to Freedcamp without going to the webpage (the definitive Freedcamp experience, the Android app is lacking in comparison even though it's off to an okay start) so being able to just add an event to the corresponding Google Calendar and have it show up in my project's inbox would be great.

I am so happy to read that 2-Way Sync with Google Calendar is coming!! YAY. We book meetings with clients inside Google Calendar (with the help of https://calendly.com) and we never want a PROJECT TASK to conflict with a CLIENT MEETING. The 2-Way Sync will help with this (plus many, many other things, like seeing when people are on vacation, etc).
Thanks!

What's the current iCal functionality ?

We are launching ability to filter Freedcamp Calendar (optional), name it as you like and push to Google Calendar next release.
Ability to do above from Calendar board.
You can push the same calendar twice to Google. Share one with those who need to see content and share another one in see free/busy time only (Google Calendar provides this option) and share this calendar with those who do not need to see particulars.
Cheers,

How's two-way sync going?
And it would be great if I could show my project team (and other projects teams I have) my blocked times from google calendar with no details, just blocked and available time slots plus FREEDCAMP tasks.... can it be done?
I don't always want to give my remote team all the details about my work and my appointments... any suggestions? -

I would like for freedcamp to create a project with a set configuration of tasks up whenever an event is added to a specific google calendar using the calendars events title.
ie I create an event called California State Fair in my google events calendar. That google calendar syncs with freedcamp The freedcamp calendar sees the new event and creates a new project named California State Fair with the tasks purchase dry goods, pack truck, order ice etc. from a set list can be xls if need be. The freedcamp project triggers an email telling me I have a new project.
