Tasks - more Progress Status Types
It will be great if you add task statuses different than 'in progress' and 'closed' i.e. we are software company that have different workflow:
'not started', 'in progress', 'done', 'for testing', 'competed', 'archived'

Hi All,
I updated the concept and published http://bit.ly/2uvRsKy

Hi Freedcamp,
On August 15th 2020 you wrote:

Yes, Freedcamp needs custom columns / statuses for Kanban view asap. Otherwise it seems almost perfectly suitable for my needs

How hard is it to do this? Looks like over 6 months and this is a HUGE deal for most of us. Without this feature we will be leaving Freedcamp very shortly.

Hi Igor, any progress on implementing custom status columns in Freedcamp?
I definitely would use this, as our current workflow relies upon the following statuses:
"no status / inbox, high priority, next actions, in progress, blocked, done, nope"

Just started with freedcamp and like it much - but: I urgently miss the ability to define more task statusses, like: Idea, Planning, ....
Thanks

All I need for this to be perfect for me and a collaborator is something between "in progress" and "completed", like "in review".

My company was trying this out, and within 10-15 minutes of my dabbling with it, I was poking around trying to figure out how to add more states. It was an immediate issue.
At minimum, an "On Hold" state would be desirable.
The plan seems to treat this as little more than a percentage-complete indicator. Each state may just be replaced by "0%, 10%, 20%". It doesn't allow for the possibility or concept of tangential scenarios.

Hey Igor - any updates on this? I love the platform, and this is the one big thing that it's missing.

This is currently the deal breaker for me for adopting this product for my organization. I would like the ability to track jobs going through a pipeline with multiple intermediate statuses between ToDo and Done

I would like to be able to customize the columns in the kanban board.
The "planned" comment listed by Igor looks perfect. -

Honestly so far this is the deal breaker for me that keeps me at Trello.
I'd even prefer to just switch the current view, so that the Lists are horizontal and the Statuses are vertical. Maybe just a different view.
That way anyone who likes it the way it is could keep the Kanban view with the Statuses running horizontal, and those of us who need more could just switch the view and use the lists instead. Frankly I'd almost prefer this - having Lists running horizontally in columns where each list has sortable statuses, so I could have the "In progress" tasks at the top, the "no progress" tasks in the middle, and the "completed" tasks out of view at the bottom.

Yes. This is important. Need to be done, doing and done are too broad. Look at Trello- https://trello.com/b/yaWmcfmG/sample-content-calendar... Sometimes it can be more than no, yes, done
By the way, <rant>I do not have a Facebook account and don't want one. Could you provide the info shared on that site to a page only logged in users can see on your own site? Zuckerburg et al have been playing fast and loose with user data and now wants government intervention to bring in regulation in/on the web. Forget him and Facebook. Put the data on your own site. I paid for it. Why should I have to go to an external site? </rant>

I have seen in many roadmaps done in trello things like to complete in this month, in 3-6 months, 1 year
The ability to establish new columns is very useful and definitively is important for many users.

Definitely agree that the need to edit/create new when it comes to task status is important. From a PM perspective, each project is different, and if the ability to create custom statuses was added, it would expand the usability of Freedcamp.

Its baffling why this hasnt been at least slightly changed. I can see that needing to be able to switch between 3 different views/styles restricts some of the variability. But upping the status to some larger set number say 5/8 and then allowing those fields to be customized, would that really break the system?
