Tasks - add 'Start Date'
Add start date in addition to due date
Hi All,
It is released and available on all paid plans now.
We are working on adding it to show in all views – List, Kanban.
Daily/Weekly Recap email already picks up tasks due to start in addition to tasks due to complete.
Cheers,
Igor

Fair enough.
Right now for a use case you gave - you can easily create a project, create a task for 1st Match, assign to yourself, call it 'Kick off project' and you will get 3 reminders on that task 7, 3 and 1 days prior to due date.
Cheers,

Definitely a must have for a large percentage of projects - regardless of the subject / business / etc.
It's not at all unusual for clients to call to reserve slots for projects: Client calls in January for a project they'd like to start in March and have completed by July. Having only the July end date isn't enough when trying to manage timelines for multiple projects.
This would be vital in both "Task" and "Subtask" fields... and just about anywhere else you can enter in a due date, IMHO.

We use FreedCamp for managing productions. Our productions last a couple days on location. It would be great to have a start and end date for an event to accomodate something like this.

Sometimes, besides an ordinary launchtime of a to-do, it depends on the finish of a prior to-do. So the launchdate could be linked to a specific date as to a to-do.

I have no more votes, but definitely it's an excellent idea!

This functionality will improve the management. I have to know when a task started and when it has to be finished, today it's only possible to know it's "In progress".

Yes, a lot of my work is not exactly due on a specific date, but knowing the transmittal date, being able to sort by that date, and seeing those dates on a calendar, is very important.
