My Tasks Overview
I've been evaluating freecamp against basecamp, because I'd like to switch to freedcamp, but there is one really helpful feature that I rely on more than anything else everyday in basecamp that freedcamp doesn't have, and that's a way to view my tasks in a way that helps me get through the work in the right order.
Freedcamp does have a start on this with the My Tasks widget and that is headed in the right direction but it's far too basic. In basecamp, when I view all my tasks, there is a time range selector at the top which filters the list of tasks to see. The time ranges that are selectable are "any time" (the default), "Tomorrow", "This week", and "Overdue". When I select one of these time range choices, the list updates, and it shows my tasks grouped by project and to-do groups. This would be totally doable in freedcamp within the scope of the information already in the system.
The current My Tasks Widget - even in it's current state, would be far more useful if it at least gave you the option of viewing that list for to-do's that are due today, tomorrow, this week, or overdue. At a minimum, this would be my feature requestion, but if the tasks could be grouped by project and to-do groups, that would even be even better!
Hi All,
It is live now – http://blog.freedcamp.com/2015/10/27/tasks-board-coming-soon/
Please post feedback starting with ‘Tasks Board’ with suggestions to improve it.
Cheers,
Igor

Hi Steve,
Empty projects will be made hidden next release. We prefer to release things early as soon as we see a value in releasing them to you and we improve things we did not have time to do after that. Hiding empty projects is one of them, allowing to make this page you home page is another.

This is all looking really great. This is now my new start page for entering freedcamp. :-)
One thing I wanted to ask - when you are hiding the completed items, you still see all of the project/to-do lists even though there may be nothing to show for them. Would it make sense to hide the project/to-do lists unless there are tasks to display? It would surely clean up the page.
For instance, when I hide completed tasks, and view only overdue items, there is only one project (out of 8 that I have active) with tasks to display that match the filter, but I still see all of the other projects/to-do list headers.

Yes - sticky
>Filter to see only tasks that are not complete.
Default will be not completed (not in progress and in progress). Filters will be very much like now in To-Dos with extra d/down containing 'All' and all your project groups and projects with single choice selection. You can see 'All' or 'Project group A' or 'Project B'. Not Project A and Project B
> Group tasks by due dates (like many other systems do it: today, tomorrow, this week, later)
In version 2, sorry. Yes we can add extra control called "Group by" where you can group by status, due date, person assigned to, priority. Each section will be in this case 'High' or 'Today' or 'John Smith' etc.

Definitely a step in the right direction! Hopefully you'll make filters "sticky" so the page always loads with the last set of filters defined. This is potentially the page that would be the most frequently used page in the system, if designed well.
Wish list for what you've started on with the new full size global tasks:
- Filter to see only tasks that are not complete. I have no need to see completed tasks on a page that would be for viewing the global overview of the entire workload.
- Group tasks by project
- Group tasks by due dates (like many other systems do it: today, tomorrow, this week, later)
I am going to clean out all the test data from my account and bring in all my current project workload and give the latest revisions another shot. I think the only way to really test the improvements that have been made in recent months would be with real data.

Hi All,
We started working on fill size global Calendar and full size global Tasks just like Notifications page - https://freedcamp.com/dashboard/notifications with filters to see all projects or only selected ones.
You will get it soon.

I agree. I want to know easily what my tasks are for today, and tomorrow et. Todoist does this quite well. In the Widget, the tasks need to be easily dragged so I can change order, if completed and easily change priority.
I would also reduce the height of tasks, as I often have lots of small tasks in a day so can't currently see all on one page.
Great product though - we'll be upgrading to Google Drive soon.

I totally agree a larger format would be better. Are you thinking of implementing this Igor?

This would be a great addition, gives a perspective on how much time you have with the Tomorrow, This week etc.

Hey,
Widget will be too small for this. We need to create a page like Notifications called My Tasks and will be full size page since Tasks is a key application in Freedcamp.
