Integration with Slack
Slack is a chat service for teams. It would be nice to see a Service Hook for it.
After almost 3 months of wait, we are finally officially in the Slack app store https://slack.com/apps/A02GX4ABHLP-freedcamp?tab=more_info

The only way it will be possible for now - via Zapier.
We do not use Slack. We tried it – does not work for us. So knowing what you need is very important for us to do right triggers with Zapier.
Please post in comments
When X event is in Freedcamp I want to be able to see Y in Slack.
Please be as precise as you can. Slack has channels, teams. We have project, groups, projects etc.
By looking at Zapier now I can see only two possible options:
Create a Freedcamp task from new starred Slack message
Push Freedcamp notification to a Slack channelRegarding: "api for slack to hook into so as to pull updates from Freedcamp tabs into slack channels." - do you want each project to be a separate channel or all updates should be pushed to a single channel.
Regarding: " It would be nice if a channel in slack could directly update a discussion/todo/wall in Freedcamp." It would be nice but to be able to do so we need to establish 1:1 relationship between a channel A in Team B and a discussion X in project Y.
Please be realistic if you use both Freedcamp and Slack and tell us what do you really need.
Statements like "It would be nice to see a Service Hook for it" are too hard to take seriously. -

Things that would be nice:
api for slack to hook into so as to pull updates from freedcamp tabs into slack channels.E.g. when a to-do task is updated or change, an alert is available for slack to pull in.
This could also be done by integrating freedcamp with ifttt.com (if this then that), so that other programs could use freedcamp. But this idea is derailing the slack integration idea, so will stop there.
As for hooking into slack. It would be nice if a channel in slack could directly update a discussion/todo/wall in freedcamp.
