File preview
Being able to preview files (such as pdfs) in the same window and/or browser would be extremely helpful.
29 votesHi All,
We can connect https://www.filestack.com and create images for preview for document types FileStack supports (https://www.filestack.com/docs/file-processing/document-conversion/document ), but since FileStack is not a free service we will only enable it for paying customers.

Move posts within a discussion to another project or discussion within a project
I haven't see a way to do this yet, but it would be extremely helpful, to be able to have the functionality of moving a discussion to another project (ie. a second project or discussion was created when one already exists). This would make things a lot easier to keep things 'neat and tidy'.

Cross Project Task Groups to aid in Sprint Planning
It would be great to have some way of identifying tasks in multiple projects as part of a planning cycle. So then we'd have a way of identifying all the tasks/subtasks we committed to for a particular sprint or quarterly planning time period. Then we wouldn't have to put false due dates in order to filter on sprint items across multiple projects.
Thanks!

Assign task to current logged user
Currently, when you create a new task, assigned to field is empty by default, but it's a very useful feature (for me), if i can set - default is me, it would be great :)
19 votesHi Zlatko,
Thanks for posting.
Do you think this has to be a default for all projects or only when you are the only person in it – a solo project?

Add Groups in Issue Tracker application (like Task/Discussion Groups)
is it possible we can group our issue created just like "Tasks > Manage Tasks Group"?
6 votesHi,
We do not plan to allow to group issues. We do consider adding tags everywhere with ability to filter by tags.

Tasky items should appear in Calendar
At the moment when I add a tasky item with a date, it doesn't appear in my calendar for that date. Would be great to have this, otherwise Tasky's usefulness is diminished.

CRM - allow to list calls and tasks PER CONTACT
In the CRM app, It seems as the "WITH" entry in the call log screen is not connected to the actual contacts table. For CRM to function, a list of phonecalls or tasks per contact should be easy to generate. In other words, the phone call and tasks tables should have a reference to a contact!

Make Passwords a project application
It would be nice to have a password tab and have the passwords located in each project rather than have all the passwords located together.
17 votesHi,
Thanks for posting . We will make all applications in Freedcamp – project applications one day and allow you to consolidate views per project group and global boards from different projects to a single view.

Add option to select 'not' for each filter category
Obviously it's easy to filter on a status of "Open, Completed, Review, In Progress, Invalid". But what if I wanted to see "all issues NOT Completed".
Yes I could go in and create a positive filter "all issues with status of Open, Review, In Progress and Invalid" but it would be a lot easier to just say "not Completed" or "not in Review" etc.
Same for filtering by "User Assigned To".
We have a long list of Freedcamp users so if I wanted to see issues "not assigned to Chris" I'd need to select around 20 users except Chris. Whereas…
19 votesHi Steve,
Thanks for posting. Great idea – just need to redesign filters so we add this option without doubling amount of options in each filter category.

Gantt View: auto-adjustments
Can we do something to automatically adjust the duration or due date of a task that is dependent on another task or subtask? What if the task or subtask it depended on slipped it's due date? There is no auto adjustment to the project schedule of the connected task. This is the strength of MS Project that is critical.
8 votesHi All,
As we noted in Gantt beta notes here – https://freedcamp.com/Freedcamp_LxR/Freedcamp_Devel_yOf/wiki/wiki_public/view/hJbab :
“No auto or even manual adjustments in this version. Auto-adjustment forward is when task completion is overdue and all start dates for dependent tasks start moving forward automatically. Auto-adjustment backward is when task is finished sooner all start dates for dependent tasks are also automatically moved backward so they can be also started sooner. Manual adjustment is when B depends on A and you drag A forward it pushes B forward too (same if you drag A backward) – manual in this definition is that you are making changes but Gantt understands dependencies and moves dependent task accordingly.”
We will probably start with manual adjustments:
If B depends on A:
- you drag A forward, B will also move forward (if B has no other dependencies preventing it)
- you drag A backward, B will also move…

Mind mapping
White board style mind mapper with hierarchical nodes, arrows, annotations, ... (like MindJet Maps)
110 votesHi All,
Just a quick update – you can switcheditor in Freedcamp to source mode (see a link to our blog below for details) and add your http://discover.mindmup.com/atlas mind maps to tasks, comments, discussions and wikis.
It works now exactly in the same way as adding videos from Youtube and Vimeo – http://blog.freedcamp.com/2015/04/30/embed-youtube-and-vimeo-videos-to-your-posts/

Dependencies between projects
For my purposes, individual Projects represent some concrete deliverable of worth on its own, as opposed to just steps to complete some larger effort (Tasks).
It could very well be, though, that a larger project depends upon the completion of a smaller project. This dependency project may be pursued either for it's own independent value, or perhaps only as part of a larger effort, but it nevertheless offers some value on it's own - thus it qualifies as a "Project".
It would be valuable to be able to formally link such projects together such that the completion of one is…
