Have icons or emoticons for Calendar.
I Use a calendar a lot to set up meeting, schedule time off, birthday reminders, vacations. it would be great to have icons or emoticons as an options for example on the birthday event maybe a birthday hat or balloon so that way of want to overview what's going on for the month you visually can see easily what's going on.
3 votesWe recently added support for emojis in item titles, which are also visible on the calendar. We have no emoji picker in the editor, but you can copy them from a website like https://getemoji.com/ or use a browser extension like https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/emoji-keyboard-emojis-for/fbcgkphadgmbalmlklhbdagcicajenei

Custom name for calendar synced tasks
The way I have setup Freedcam isn't really how it's "ment" to be used but it's a good way for me as I'm the only user.
I have the projects "Company", "Jobs", "Leads" and "Prospects".
Inside of each project I have different task-lists as categories.
E.g. under "Jobs" I have each job I'm currently working on as its own list.Right now the names in my calendar looks like this: "Recording [Jobb in Jobb]". The first Jobb I'm guessing is the group and the second Jobb is my project.
I would much rather make it read "Recording [Lost in the…3 votesYou can rename project groups and projects to make it fit your style. You can also push multiple projects to Google calendar and have them separated by the calendar in Google.

Calendar - add event lists allowing to categorize events
Currently with Tasks (and Discussions) I can go to the top right of the page, click on the gear (Settings) icon, then click on "Manage Task Groups" to create/edit/delete/order Task Groups. It would be great to have the same capability on the Calendar app for Events.
The "Manage Event Groups" feature would work exactly the same as the "Manage Task Groups" feature with the same UI layout and capabilities.
- [bonus feature]: the ability to color code Event Groups, even if limited to 8-10 colors. The features that would then be usable in the Calendar view:

Annual agenda in Calendar application
For oversight and planning it could help to have a annual planning oversight page in the agenda. It helps us to provide direction, keep scope, match the activities & synchronize the organizations activities to its resource capacity.

For non Agenda views → Please check sharing calendars – https://freedcamp.com/Freedcamp_LxR/Freedcamp_Devel_yOf/wiki/wiki_public/view/fhaab#sharing-calendars
It isn’t a direct and perfect solution, but if you can get the data to Google Calendar or Outlook it opens up a lot more possibilities for what you want to do including yearly view -
New Calendar Improvement - remove calendar and recurring symbol so the title of the event can be read on month view
On the new calendar layout, the little calendar event symbol and recurring event symbol make it so there is little room left for the actual name of the event to show in month view. Do those need to be there? It would be great just to have the name of the event. If you want to separate event from task, color coding would be a great way to distinguish between them without taking up precious space. Color coding would distinguish recurring from one time events, if you really feel that needs to be called out in some way. I'm not…

A filter between tasks and events in the Calendar
In the calendar the tasks and events are all in the same place which can make it overwhelming to differentiate between them, filtering between tasks only , events only & all would be very helpful.

Visual marker spanning multiple days for multi-day events and tasks in calendar
While you can create events that span multiple days and can use Ghantt charts, you cannot visually see multiple date events or tasks in the calendar.
The "Calendar with multi-day events" suggestion was a helpful start, but there really is a need to create a visual marker that spans multiple days. (https://blog.freedcamp.com/2017/05/11/start-end-times-added-calendar-events/)
Multiple day events currently show a block arrow to the right of the start and left of the end date.
Multiple day tasks only show a spot on the due/final date.
Both of these were visually confusing to all of the users…

Automatic calendar sync with Outlook like GSync
Automatic 2 Ways Sync with Outlook like GSync. Office 365 has over 120 Million business clients to Googles 4 million. I think integration with Office 365 is more important that Google Suite
16 votesFew notes
1. GSync is Freedcamp → Google – one direction
2. Google provides developers access so once authorized we can write to users Google Calendar. Outlook is an email client only – it can be connected to Gmail, company MS Exchange server, Office365 cloud service your company subscribed to from Microsoft so in order to write to your calendar we need to know how it is set and get authorization. It is a MUCH MORE complicated task. -
Scheduling Assistant or Doodle Integration in Calendar
In order to effectively use the Calendar app, a scheduling assistant is helpful to understand the team's availability.
If not, another great option is to provide integration with a third party like Doodle.1 vote -
Type in a due date instead of scrolling through calendar
My team schedules most tasks out months in advance, and I feel like I am losing a lot of time having to scroll through months of the calendar when assigning due dates. While I can type in a date in the field, it does not allow me to select that as a due date. Could there please be a way to type in a due date and select it instead of having to scroll through months of the calendar every time we need a new date?
As a follow-up, have you given thought to allowing users to update due dates…
3 votesHi Barb,
It is possible – please see my response I created in our blog for you: http://blog.freedcamp.com/2017/03/07/how-to-add-start-and-end-dates-by-typing-dates/
Regarding: “have you given thought to allowing users to update due dates instead of deleting and reassigning dates when schedules change?”
- totally possible via ‘edit task’ or by dragging and dropping new date in Tasks List view to a task – it will replace previously set date.

Task priority in Calendar view
I'd love to be able to see task/milestone priority in Calendar view. The task/milestone dot by the item is nice, but for me it would be more helpful to be able to see items color coded by priority.

Timeline
Hello,
It would be ideal if a visual timeline calendar added to the projects. It will be easy to see which work need review and also the deadlines and so on.
Some examples: Moving around deadlines in the calendar, extend due tasks, prioritize important deliver project.

Icon hover text for the "calendar with a tick" in the Todo list.
Item in the todo list have 3 action buttons. "calendar with tick", "Edit To-Do" and "Delete To-Do". The "calendar with tick"-one misses a text hover information to clearify what this button does.

Thanks – added. Will be updated next upgrade. Simply missed it. It is ‘add to a milestone’ action button.

Change status and prioriry directly into calendar view
Allow to change the status and priority using the calendar view.(i.e by an propertie icon)
It would be very useful to allow that without need to edit the task.1 vote -

Calendar Widget: day pop up view - add Project and Project Group name.
Calendar: Day pop up view - add Project Name to each 'To Do' listed so it is easy to identify at a glance which project it is related to.
Sometimes our tasks may be simple statements like "Build Computer and Load Software". It would be great to have context as to which Project this was related to, without having to click through to the To Do Task.

CRM - To allow calls to be completed. To add colour differentiation to calendar
Any CRM Call's cannot currently be completed, so how do I know whether this has been actioned?
Also, any completed CRM task/call should appear with a different colour (as per project tasks) in the calendar, so that I can see these have been dealt with.
