    Hi Zack,

    Thanks for posting:)

Asana/Slack organisations/teams create completely separated silos of things you will never see together. Correct?

So you are proposing to separate instead of adding, for example task groups tags and be able to separate (filter by tags),but also easily be able to see all your tasks across multiple jobs together.

    Interesting ….

    Cheers,
    Igor

We will be adding Spaces concept so you can add project group to Spaces and filter out and see only Work 1 or only Work 2 or only Private Spaces but you can allso remove filtering by Space and see it all together.

Do you mean showing all invited people? CRM is a project group application - so in this case - showing all people invited to projects in that project group?

    Hi All,

    Please list what is required.

Dedicated email to allow people to email in new issues – DONE

In the scope on next change:

    - allow an issue reporter (not a Freedcamp user) to respond back to update an issue

    - clearly mark such comments

    - clearly mark responses you are sending to an issue reporter

As a result you can use Issue Tracker:

    - to let external users to report issues via email or embedded form we already provide

    - to let external users to continue conversations by replying to emails you email them as a response

    - to see 3 types of comments when you open an issues – internal comments, issue reporter comments, your responses to an issue reporter.

    Thank you
    Igor

Most likely after we will add Custom Reporting and a few more predefined reports we will allow to see current report on Lite/Free Plans, more advanced predefined reports on Lite Plan and predefined + custom on Business and Enterprise plans only

@Charles - you can collapse all subtasks and we do show not a progress bar but 3/5 which means 3 subtasks are completed from 5 existing.

Otherwise, system's becomes just unmanageable - you can have 5 subtasks and a bullet list attached to a task with 10 entries and now there is a need to show two progress bars etc.

I will keep this idea posted to see traction.

We launched new Manage System which currently allows you to see all users per project group in addition to per project. Global Teams - to simplify users management. The new option was also added under cogwheel icon on manage Systems page to export all users in your account as XLS.

Further improvements will be introduced later this year and are in the works right now.

It's different for all items. There are a lot less users on iOS than web, so we expect less votes. But mainly we have an existing pipeline which we are working on. So this task has been added to be done, and once we complete the items before it we can start investing our time and can update status officially to planned.

Yes - a person can run only one time tracker record in Freedcamp at a time, multiple people can add time for their own time invested into a task. Project administrators can edit and add records for other team members

Hi, Are you interested only in completed tasks? A task which is overdue and not yet completed should not be counted (just because the due date can be edited for it)?

    Hi Katie,

We will change a way it is done. All changes done during 30 min or so(1) interval by one or different users will be combined into one email.

    (1) – if users keep updating an item we will not wait more than 30 min and will send email with all changes made. But, if there were 7 updates in the first 5 min interval, for example, and no more updates in 5 minutes – we will send email in 10 min with 7 changes made on item. This approach can adapt and wait just a bit longer if people are actively participating collecting updates to send fewer emails, while still limited to 30 min chunks of time to make sure you haven’t missed important conversation by receiving email update too late.

    Do you like this approach?

    Cheers,
    Igor

@Simeon - how about using new Home page, New Notifications page and new Daily Recap email and turning emails off for instant updates entirely?

We will definitely combine updates on the same item made in 30 min chunks into a single email this year but I can not provide any ETA yet

@Leesa - task can be completed without In Progress by two ways. Edit a task and set status 'complete'. In tasks list view drag 'completed' label from right and drop it to a task. In Kanban view you can drag task from left column to right column bypassing middle column.

I agree - we might need to add ability to set status 'complete' when you add task and select complete date and change icon clicking cycling between no progress-> in progress -> completed to be a drop down to select needed status.

At this stage I would suggest to ask team not to use icon clicking for tasks bypassing In Progress status and using ways I described above.

I also wrote this blog post explaining how one can only get new comments on tasks to inbox and archive all other emails to a different folder as read. It is easy to extend by adding 'Assigned to: Igor K." into your filter to also have all updates to tasks you work on to inbox and avoid getting status updates on team tasks not assigned to you.

    Cheers,
    Igor

    Hi Ashleigh,

If these files are in the way inside Files. Please:
    - create folder Discussions in Files
    - search all files attached to Discussions (we have such search function)
    - bulk move them to Discussions folder in Files

To keep Files clean we do it periodically in our own projects.

Probably we shall do this by default ….

    What do you think?

    Cheers,
    Igor

After some thought, it looks like the creation of public (available to all users in a project) saved searches will be an easier solution.

If we will add folders like 'Discussions', 'Tasks' to put attachments automatically:
    - We have to make them special - do not allow users to delete them. Users still can move files from them to other folders.
    - In addition, we have now multilingual support - what if you started Freedcamp in English and switched to Hebrew - folder names will stay in English which will be confusing.

You can also create default filter in Files application and show only files directly uploaded in Files tab and hide files attached elsewhere - this will probably be a solution.

We will show Activity History in each task next to Comments so you can see all changes made to a task including who and when made those changes.

This history will be limited to the last X days on the Free plan.

Do you want to have action log where all attributes changes are recorded? As I said Start Progress date - it is unclear what it should be when status was changed multiple times.

You can explore Custom Fields (Business Plan) and add extra fields to your tasks such as Start Progress Date too.

@Wasim - sorry - we only build Freedcamp in-house after our recent journey with mobile apps development - https://blog.freedcamp.com/2017/09/07/android-application-status/
You can build any tool for Freedcamp when we will release API but I have no ETA for it at this stage either. Please subscribe to API feature and you will get updates from it.

Sorry for a late response - UserVoice put your response to spam and I only now decided to review and recover good posts from it.

We do not have tags, images attached, polls, multi-line comments and powerful search. Working on it. One step at a time - small team - lots of requests to improve.

@Neema - re: "I get a separate number texting me that information." this is your mobile carrier implementation. We only email a message to "email to SMS gateway" your carrier provides. How they translate it to actual SMS/Sender is their implementation of the process we can not control.

"When you send a SMS message over 160 characters the message will be split. Large messages are segmented into 153 character segements and sent individually then rebuilt by the recipients device. For example, a 161 character message will be sent as two messages, one with 153 characters and the second with 8 characters.

If you include non-GSM characters like eastern characters in SMS messages, those messages have to be sent via UCS-2 encoding. Messages containing any UCS-2 characters are limited to 67 characters and will be concatenated into 67 character message segments, even if the messages contain less than 160 characters."

    Source - https://www.twilio.com/docs/glossary/what-sms-character-limit
So we are very limited to what we can send here especially if you use non-GSM characters. Not much can fit into 67 characters.

May be a solution will be to separate email to SMS gateways from email to MMS (no limit on size) gateways and send to SMS gateways:
    New comment - short link
    New task - short link
, where starting phrase can be in yor Freedcamp UI language - German, French etc.
While for MMS - we can send more information (still not all we send via email though)
