We have two use cases here.

    1. Making is super easy to work with clients. Clients can see only Discussion and Tasks which specifically marked as visible to them. Rest is not visible to them

    2. Allowing true privacy – concept described by Caroline. Once this mode is enabled users can create private tasks and decide who they want to share it with.

@Caroline – I assume project and project group administrators should be able to see private tasks. Right?

    NEW UPDATE

Probably we should move Private Tasks and Private Discussions into a separate add-on which is not available by default.

We have requests for private tasks and we have requests for disabling privacy – when a teacher in a school does not want students to create private tasks at all.

I assume functionality similar to Private Discussions we already have in Freedcamp is what you are after.

    Hi All!

Should a poll have an optional due date after which voting is not allowed?

Should we send people having access to a poll who haven’t voted yet reminders and if so – how many and how often?

    Thanks
    Igor

    "Hello,

I am trialling some of your products and was wondering with the CRM module if you can have CRM tasks show in the ‘Tasks’ view of a project. Also, can you associate as existing task in the ‘Task’ view with a contact. The two systems seem to be quite distinct, but ideally would be together.

Also, if you allocate a call/task to a contact, on the contact page you are shown a list of calls and tasks, however these really need to be hyperlinked to the actual call to make it work well. A quick summary would be good also to show when the call was made and who was on call. It would make assessing a contacts history much easier within the contact tab.

I am not sure if the module is yet ready for our use case, but would be interested in your reply to the above.

    Regards
    Paul"

    Hi Lance,

If you are not using Issue Tracker already - https://freedcamp.com/marketplace/issue_tracker_app you can add it to a project and use it as you described.

    Hi Laura,

We are working on improving Issue Tracker now and we are planning to integrate it with TODOs in future.

    Thank you.

"Once you adapt the code to support multi-language (that's the work part :S )" - exactly this part. So instead of doing sub-tasks or time/tasks integration or iOS app we will have to take one person and assign to this. We need extra 4 hands typing or two heads thinking, you know. This is why we also continue to pitch investors. Right now I am preparing to go with a pitch to http://slushdownunder.com/ - we were selected to pitch and chances are good since all our angel investors are from Australia.

So we under great pressure now to make right decisions and hopefully making it through to being profitable while still supporting group efforts being effortless AND free. It is easy to say - 'enough' and slap paid plans but it is against our vision. Unfortunately serious investors do not see yet its potential to also being very profitable.

We know translations could be our differentiation and grow our user base world wide but GA tells us that 66% are English speaking - rest is single digits starting from French - 3rd place (after en-us and en-gb) 4.84% and 10th place is Czech - 1.16%.

Sorry if I overloaded you with extra info.

Fortunately we have no problem with people helping us to translate but changing system to support it and maintain with each update.

We know that. It is not like we do not want to do it. Our team of 7 people speaks combined 5 different languages. We have no resources to do it. Investors want to see millions of users and to get there we need to do translations which require money from investors.

To support it we need to make Freedcamp Calendar fully compatible with Google Calendar - at least have recurrence, time start/end and multiday events.

    Hi Vinod,

Thanks for posting. We actually have 100s of requests from software developers who want to launch own application or module in Freedcamp. We are 100% with you and it has been always our dream. However platform creation is not an easy task especially in a freemium product offering 90% of functionality free. This is why we are working on metrics investors want to see and already talking to investors to raise enough to finally create native mobile clients, even more simplify users experience to a point it is easy to start to use as GMail and Dropbox AND launch platform developers can use. I will keep your details and will get back when we are ready to invite you.

    Thanks

    Hi Jason,

Yes - working on it right now - will also show a summary by day as well as individual chunks and integrate time tracking with TODOs so you can track time for TODOs tasks in Time Tracking app.

    Hi Tim,

I doubt we will allow not limited nesting.

We will add sub-tasks - they are needed but it will be one level below TODO.

If a TODO (having optionally sub-tasks) becomes very big - converting it into a project can be added in Freedcamp. Attached files need to be moved to a new project. TODO will become a project & sub-tasks will become TODOs.

We also should allow to move individual TODOs and TODO groups as well as Discussions and Files to another project.

I just can not give you any ETA now with team size and our priorities. This is not highest one unfortunately. We are working on closing seed round to speed it up and ... thank for posting suchdetailed clarification.

    Cheers,
    Igor

Could you please clarify why project groups/projects/todos/sub-tasks(will be added soon) does not work for you? Why project groups are not good?

    Thank you,

    Hi All,

    Thanks for posting.

My understanding is that you want:

    - ability to add project milestones to project group milestones

    - ability to add project group milestones into a global milestone.

    - ability to add project tasks to a project group milestone directly

    - ability to add a task to a global milestone directly.

    Cheers,
    Igor

    Hi Adam,

Let me clarify - ability to have milestones in project groups or even across different project groups?

We are already working now on a new concept called Dashboards that will support the Summary widget (pie, bar, battery, or card output), Table, and Buttons widgets. Essentially dashboards are custom reports and you can create as many dashboards as you need with as many widgets with drag and drop capability to set your perfect layout. Eventually, Dashboards will supersede the Widgets page. Dashboards can be private, shared with all team members (new members will see it too) or selected team members. Initially, dashboards will be added to the Enterprise plan.
