What should happen on conversion?
a) a discussion with all comments is removed and turned to a task or issues
OR
b) a discussion gets a comment with a task/issue smart link appended to the description and the last comment and a new task/issue gets a link to a discussion in its description on conversion?

If this comment is part of a conversation it will remove it from the context and put it elsewhere making it hard to follow in the future. Wouldn’t it be better to just pin a comment and keep it in place and have a filter in Comments to shop only pinned ones instead?

Some other PM platforms have this feature - which I use on a regular basis - noted in the links below. But since I appear to be the first to post this idea in 10ish years of dev, there may not be a big demand - and can waste dev time better spent elsewhere.
