We will provide ETA when we will actually start working on this part and status here will be changed to ‘started’. Most likely, it will be Q1 2018.
I agree with Dwayne Lofton re. tracking as well.

Pop-up notifications from the desktop app for tasks would be great. Or at least a little icon indicating new content. Also, it would be great to check off a box to stay logged in all the time, not just 2 weeks since my password isn't autosaved in the app.
Our issue is that if someone moves over a task to complete, the subtasks don't automatically register as complete. It ends up being messy as far as tracking if a task is truly complete.
>Or could the interface be tweaked to avoid separate actions
We will skip all intermediate states done by one user and mention only initial state and last state so you can change status 10 times during 10 minutes and only one email will go out with the first and last states and you a s a person making that change.
Will it work?
I agree with this feedback. My inbox gets slammed for every minor change made to a project within a few minutes. Basically, if the notifications were not instant, this would eliminate many of these issues as you could combine what happened (a comment being added, a progress update etc.) into one email. 10 minutes might be a bit long for the conversation aspect of the comments, but 5 minutes would be great.
Update: We are in Zapier beta and will be launching it publicly at Zapier and Freedcamp very soon. You can use Zapier now to connect Slack and Freedcamp
I agree that this would be extremely beneficial if just to help out with notifications.
