Add pictures, images or screenshots (to discussions) via copy and past
In many discussions screenshots or pictures are really helpfull.
At the moment I take a screenshot, open a imagesoftware, paste the picture, save it, upload it and remove it from the hard disk.
If it would be possible to add images via copy and paste - it would save a lot of time!
Hi All,
Released now!

Is it possible to paste screenshots to a task without creating an attached file? File thumbnails take lot of room on UI and are sometimes even bigger than the picture itself. ;)

With windows 10 after you take screen shot it saves in OneDrive:
C:\Users\!!!\OneDrive\Pictures\Screenshots. You can drag it into your discussion as an attachment. Select a size and that gives you the code to place in your discussion.
Pretty slick. -
Sorry it was not clear - I wanted to say that we tried it and it was far from being ready to be used in production so we ended up not enabling it.
Essentially to support the way it is now we have to replace 'paste' event with 'attach' event + 'insert inline' event to make it compatible with what we already have.
I will email you directly to discuss the rest.
Cheers,
Igor

@Chris - I agree. But ... it is
- Google editor and it is not open source
- Google inline images are not showing as attachments - you either attach or insert nline. We selected different path - you attach and you insert inline
- We use CKEditor which only had old plugin supporting Firefox onlyAs a result we are looking at developing CKEditor extension which works with Freedcamp core -> pasted image is uploaded and attached when pasted into edit area.

In addition to my call to enable this in all browsers:
I just tested it in Firefox. And it SEEMS to work, but it doesnt.
When I paste the image in the message, it appears. When I submit the comment, the image does not appear. Is there anything I can do to make this work? Even if it was only in Firefox... it really would make my life (and I can imagine many other with me) much much easier.
Thanks!

In addition to the new Inline Images, this would be a fantastic addition. And it should be possible. I paste images all day and every day into my Gmail messages. It works like a charm and makes life soooooo much easier... make screenshot, copy to clipboard (without having to save the file) and paste it into the email. It would be fantastic (understatement) if the same would be possible in Freedcamp!
