  1. Back to Tasks link goes back to task board you came from

    Right now the back link will take you to the task board for the project even if you came from the task board. It would be nice if that link was intelligent to send back to where you were. I know the button is up there but it's a habit to click and forget. Seems like it should work this way.

  2. Manual date input for future tasks

    Hi, thank you so much for Freedcamp, it's great for my business needs.

    One feature which would be of use to me is to be able to manually input dates rather than picking from a calendar. The calendar picker is great for dates which are soon, but for long-time-in-the-future tasks (like several years in the future - e.g. deadlines for destroying confidential project data) it takes a while to click through all the months to get to where you need to be, and I can't see a way of editing a date without using the date picker.

  4. Google shared drives (formerly known as Team Drives) integration

    We use GSuite Business and have access to Team Drives. It allows us to store all of our files on the Team Drive and give those in our organization access to that drive without having to share each folder or file. There is already integration with Google Drive. Integration with GSuite Team Drive would be great.

    Google shared drives (formerly known as Team Drives) are a new feature in Google’s G Suite. Unlike files in My Drive, files in shared drives are owned by the team/group rather than an individual. See below for a table that outlines the other differences between shared drives and My Drive. Freedcamp Google Drive integration supports Google shared drives on Business and Enterprise plans.

  5. Drag and drop a task to another date from the calendar menu

    It would be super time saving if one can drag and drop a task to another date from the calendar menu. Currently it takes 5-6 steps to do that and get back to the calendar view. We have multiple projects running so to go into project without seeing the global calendar view doesn't serve our purpose.

  6. Link back to task from File upload

    It would be great to be able to click a file in the "Files" tab, and be able to click through to the task it was originally uploaded to. The benefit would be so that you could see the surrounding conversation that took place between your team and the client. Right now, whenever we want to see that information, we have to sort through to try and find the original discussion.

  7. Quick add comments from task view

    I know we can currently click the Comment button on a task which will take us into the Edit Task window and allow us to add a comment however I find this time consuming especially when adding comments to multiple tasks at once as I then have to click Return to Tasks before I can find my next task and continue adding comments.
    I use comments to track progress on a task so it would be great if clicking the comment button on a task just opened a popup allowing a comment to be entered and then once saved it…

  8. Days of the week in the Gantt chart

    It is quite difficult to plan task timelines in the Gantt chart without the days of the weeks displayed and/or weekends highlighted.
    Adding days of the week and highlighting (or graying) weekends would make it much easier to visualize working weeks when adjusting times from the Gantt.

  9. Visual marker spanning multiple days for multi-day events and tasks in calendar

    While you can create events that span multiple days and can use Ghantt charts, you cannot visually see multiple date events or tasks in the calendar.

    The "Calendar with multi-day events" suggestion was a helpful start, but there really is a need to create a visual marker that spans multiple days. (https://blog.freedcamp.com/2017/05/11/start-end-times-added-calendar-events/)

    Multiple day events currently show a block arrow to the right of the start and left of the end date.

    Multiple day tasks only show a spot on the due/final date.

  11. Tasks - allow descriptions for subtasks

    Especially for subtasks it would be great if it would be easier to include a link instead of, or with a description. Recognizing a link could be possible through recognizing http:// or https:// . Especially for reading lists where there's no need to attach files!

  13. Cancelled Status

    It would be nice to have the ability to mark a task cancelled. There are times where we assign a task and for some reason it gets cancelled. It would be nice to have the ability "Cancel" a task but still keep any notes that have been added while still active.

    It would be helpful if you had the option to assign all Subtasks the same due date as the Task without having to do each Subtask individually.

    Hi,

    Custom Fields data are added to XLS export and Data Feed Links, if:

    1) export to XLS or data feed link for a project (not a bunch of projects)

    2) Custom Fields are enabled for this project

    3) there is at least one Custom Field value saved for any of tasks included into XLS export or Data Feed Link.

  16. Custom Fields

    It would be great to be able to append my custom fields to the task overview, i.e. so I don't have to edit the task to view the custom fields.

    For example, I'd like to be able to assign tasks a Value and a Cost (e.g. Hours) for backlog management and prioritization.

  18. Tasks - filter to show all unfinished tasks to date

    If there was a way to show all unfinished tasks to date without having to create a special filter would be great. For example: if the Filter By Due date would let you leave the first date range blank and allow @today in the second. This would give you the ability to see ALL uncompleted tasks without having to set both dates.

    Allow to set filters:
    – In Progress or No Progress (possible)
    - Due date is Set + Due date In The Past + Due date is Today (possible now with Ctrl+click to select more than one option)

    In the requested case you only need to select:
    Due date In The Past
    Ctrl+Click ‘Today’ to select the second option

    Select Progress – No Progress and In Progress

    Save as ‘Unfinished to date’

  19. Share a read only version of the Calendar via link

    It would be nice to share a read only version of my project calendar via a link. I'm thinking about using the FreedCamp for my work but don't want to invite my boss to sign up (he's a Luddite- it won't work out) but it would be an easy way to show him what I'm working on.

  20. Add a seperate "complete" button in task page.

    When you click on a task - you get to it's "task page".
    In this page you have the "Start progress" button, which then changes to "Complete".
    My problem is: it takes up to 8 seconds of waiting for green arrow spinning icon in top-left corner, before the "start progress" button actually changes to "complete".
