  1. When I'm adding a subtask, I can't see the information such as due dates from the original task. Can you make the popup movable or something?

  2. I think it’s crucial to showcase the total number of projects a team is working on; this helps ensure and inform leadership what each person/team is doing and if additional resources are needed.

  4. It's be really cool to be able to have multiple "Widgets" areas.

I treat it like a dashboard, so I have all of my freelancer's upcoming tasks in one place, along with my tasks, recent activity, etc.

It'd be nice to be able to make additional "Widgets" areas to act like different dashboards.

We are already working now on a new concept called Dashboards that will support the Summary widget (pie, bar, battery, or card output), Table, and Buttons widgets. Essentially dashboards are custom reports and you can create as many dashboards as you need with as many widgets with drag and drop capability to set your perfect layout. Eventually, Dashboards will supersede the Widgets page. Dashboards can be private, shared with all team members (new members will see it too) or selected team members. Initially, dashboards will be added to the Enterprise plan.

  5. Allow more than 3 columns on the Widgets page so that widgets can be put side by side on wider screens

  7. When we add photos/images in tasks, discussions, comments, they all come into Files and make the system quite messy. It would be good if FreedCamp can automatically create an image folder and put photos/images there when they appear in tasks, discussions, comments.

  11. Everyone with the link
    Everyone @mycompany.com

The ability to allow all users with a specific email domain (e.g. *@mycompany.com) to access a certain part (e.g. wiki) of my project

I would like to use wiki entries to document and share progress made from the project (kind of like a newsletter) to all company employees without having to invite each individual manually.

We have a public wiki link that is equal to “Everyone with the link”
We will be adding a global link allowing you to share it with anyone invited to any of your projects in Freedcamp (not necessarily have access to a project where a wiki is located)

  12. Currently, there's a small notification in the top right corner when a discussion thread has a new comment. I'd love to see a further visual cue on the main discussions page when a new comment is added. Perhaps the discussion title becomes bold, or the discussion topic floats to the top of the list (or both?) This would be very helpful for those of us with many discussion threads simultaneously running.

  14. Problem: If I send an invoice to a client via the Invoice app, the email they receive is in English -- even when my personal language choice is French and the resulting invoice is available for download in French in my account.

Easy fix: please send the email and the invoice link in the navigation language chosen by the user, or:

Ideal fix: add a "language" field to the "client" record and send the email and the invoice link in that language. This way, there is no need to toggle your account setup when you send an email to another…

  15. Ability to group timers. For instance right now i have 28 HTML emails and each has a timer. Out of those 28 emails, there are 5 tasks consisting of 7 emails each. So with all those timers, the page is cluttered and difficult to navigate when searching for a particular timer to start.

It would be nice to be able to create groups/folders to place timers in.

  16. I am trying to create an easy way to see what needs to be invoiced, and I was trying to use the tags to do so, but there appears to be no way to create a widget that has all tasks tagged with 'to be invoiced' or similar. Creating a widget that can filter by specific tags would be so helpful!

  20. Currently, the project bar spans from the date of the first task until the end of the last, despite gaps in timeline. For eg. I have a project starting in November that won't end until February. However, there are no tasks scheduled across the Christmas break yet it appears that there is. Another example is that when running multiple projects, it appears that multiple projects are being run at the same time when it isn't always the case.

If the project bar is only visible when there is a task in place, it will reduce clutter and more accurately reflect…

    Hi Nathan,

A lot of people leave 1-2 gaps between tasks in any project. For example, the Critical Chain approach by Goldratt calls them buffers. If we will show all gaps Gantt for projects will look like fence most of the time.

Sure – we can show the project name and its progress after the bar.

    What do you think?

It will also be cool to be able to change color opacity for areas with a lot of tasks (darker) to less load (lighter) color.

  • Don't see your idea?
