  1. We usually estimate a project by how much time we will spend on it. It wold be great to be able to add a total amount of time estimated next to the total time used. It would be even better if then it shows you how much time you have left to complete the project.
This should be a relatively simple feature to add but would make a big difference to tracking projects.

  2. I use Freedcamp to track projects across three different groups and outside of Freedcamp each group has an unqiue email address.

However, the current setup only allows a single email address to be used globally.

This means I have to manually move Freedcamp notification emails between my email accounts, which takes a lot of time.

    This could be fixed by:
    1. Allow users to enter multplie email addresses in their Freedcamp profile
    2. Allow the user to select the email address associated with each group

    Thanks

  3. Currently you can upload a file in many places, but I would like to have the same file associated with many different tasks, comments, and discussions. Right now you have to upload the same file to each item you would like to attach it to. That file then gets duplicated (and triplicated, and...) in the Files app, rendering that app essentially useless because of all of the clutter. I would like to be able to upload a file (and specify a version number) once, either via attachment to some freedcamp item or directly in the Files app, and then be…

    Hey,

    Thanks for posting!

Please describe it step by step – what you do and how it will work so we can update description and may be edit title so it is easier to find for other users.

    Cheers,
    Igor

  8. It would be great to be able to customize the embeddable issue reporter widget in code level. There are some suggestions below:

Custom label names or i18n translation for form labels:

We don't need sophisticated i18n features, but probably simple options for setting label names would be sufficient for now.

    Default title or body prefix:

Default value is powerful since it can prefix title or body as customized templates. And it can be used as additional contexts of when and where an issue is reported, so issues can be dealt efficiently.

Nextcloud is open-source and would be an ideal addition to the existing Google Drive integration.

  11. Hi Freedcampgroup,

so far im very happy with your tool. but 1 think im reallyx missing is the function to set individual role permissions. just a simlpe checkbox list which role is able to use which function. your predefined roles are not bad, but for several use cases i would like to have the option to define my own user roles with own rights. cazse right now setting up this project this can be a show-stopper for me :(

    best regards

  12. I would like to show my team how much work I do that goes unnoticed by them. Therefore it would be great to have a user reputation score.

Every time you create a task or subtask, you earn a bit of reputation. Every time you complete a task, you earn even more reputation. Every time you complete a task assigned to you by someone else, you earn the most reputation. Etc.

This would really extra motivate people and create a huge value proposition for Freedcamp since many competitors lack this. Would be unique selling point.

    Hi Luuk,

    Thanks for posting it!

We are playing with this score (already developed and calculating) for a while now internally. Were thinking even to post anonymous all Freedcamp users score board where everyone can see him/herself but not others, own spot in rating and thing to do to climb above.

    Cheers,
    Igor

  13. It would be nice that, instead of leaving the back color of the name tags grey, they could be colored (just like the Priority tag) so it's more immediate to see which task is assigned to whom. Right now it gets a bit blended with the due date and between the name tags.

I don't think it needs consistency beyond the project (like having each user its "own" color, which sounds very silly and impractical).
Perhaps havign a set color for the creator-administrator of the project/task could be of some use.
And it would need to avoid the colors already…

  14. We're using Xero.com for invoicing and accountancy, but it does not have the work-focused features of freedcamp. We'd love to be able to use freedcamp to record tasks and time sheets, then export global time sheet data into a format that can be imported ino Xero, or even better, have some sort of seamless integration tool so we can just link data across to Xero.

  15. Basically, instead of having someones email and inviting them like that, giving them a unique link they can use to register themselves (with an email)

This allows the invitee to not have to share email details when working with people on certain freelancer platforms

  17. I suggest the document / file control. The case is if there are 2 peoples download the file and upload the new version ( their new version ) at the same time, it cant be defined which one is the latest.

So i Want the document can be locked. When someone A doing the document he must lock it first so someone B cannot download it or open it using your document editor app. Someone B can download the file after someone A finish his new version and unlock the file to be downloaded by someone B

    Good job guys..…

    Hi Ian,

    Thanks for posting.

Probably it should work this way. If you use FileEditor a file will be marked as locked by you. Other people using FileEditor will get a notice that file is edited by you and it is up to them to cancel or continue editing. Notice will state that their changes to a file can be overwritten by your edits later on.

If you do not use file edit and download a file – it will be a drop down button with two options:
    - download
    - download and lock
In this case other person uploading a new version or also trying to download will get a similar notice.

Users uploading back directly or via FileEdit if a file was changed after they locked it will get a notice saying ‘File was changed – please consider uploading it as a new version as otherwise you will…

  18. Total daily time spent on all projects...
When you guys send out that email with daily activity, it would be great to have in there the total number of hours spent per day included with the email. I have a lot of different clients and projects because of my freelance work. Sometimes I have a lot of activities that are 15 minutes and I log those. If I work a ten hour day that's a lot of stuff. I'd like to see a time tally for all of the time spent on all of the projects every day.

  20. I need some way to be able to say how much time is to be spent on a task, and then to track that time as it is used. All tasks at the moment are tracked by milestones, so far as I can see. Setting delivery dates is fine, but without know just how many estimated hours are left, and how far through each task is, it is difficult to plan daily activities to meat those milestones.
