Wiki - global
I would like to be able to have global Wikis. I use the Wiki to create training documents for staff. These entries would be useful to have across all projects. Perhaps the ability to have Wiki entries appear in multiple projects without having to copy them over?

Categories within Wiki
Ability to create and manage categories within the Wiki platform. Each article can then be allocated to multiple category. The main view would then provide categories with wiki's within that category.
85 votesAdded Wiki lists ( a wiki can only belong to one wiki list), added Tags with ability to filter wikis by one or more tags.

Move wiki to another project.
sometimes, when you close a project, you need a certain wiki, because it is a continuation of your closed project. it would be helpful if you can move this wiki before closing your project.

Wiki Trash Bin Undo Delete
Wiki undo delete or a Wiki trash bin. There have been Wiki’s that have been deleted that I wish I could restore. Most other Wiki software have trash bins. Trash bin for Wiki in Freedcamp would be helpful. Thank you.

API - expose Wiki end points through the API
At the moment the APi end points do not cover the wiki.
Ideally I'd like to be able to list, create and update wiki pages via an official API.
e.g.
I imagined something like
GET /api/wiki
- get a list of wikisGET /api/wiki/id/page
- get list of pages for wikiGet /api/wiki/id/page/id
- get meta data and HTML of the pageGet /api/wiki/id/page/id/version
- get meta data and HTML of the page versionPOST /api/wiki/id/page/version
- update a versionPOST /api/wiki/id/page
- create a new page7 votes -
[Wiki] Templates - copy/move wikis in a project and between projects
It would be great if you could create a Wiki Template that has all of the customized headers that users should populate when building a wiki page. Right now, I have to copy the headers into new wikis.

Save Wiki as you go before actual submission
I was adding detail to a wiki from other websites and links. I was switching back and forth between tabs. I inadvertently closed the open wiki tab and lost my work. It would be helpful to have an auto save features or button where you can save work prior to submitting. You can save data by submitting, but that means you have to open and edit the wiki again. It would be nice to have this feature so you don't lose your work prior to submitting. Thanks.
2 votesHi Greg,
This is completed- http://blog.freedcamp.com/2015/04/08/never-lose-your-unsaved-work-in-freedcamp-when-you-close-your-browser/
I would also suggest to keep Wiki as Private and do not check anyone so only you can see and edit it multiple times before making it available for your team.
Cheers,

Wiki - simplified, clean view suitable for printing
I wish there was a way to get a clean, simplified view of a wiki page so it was more suitable for printing, converting to a PDF, etc.
Ideally you'd be able to configure/select what you want on the simplified view. For example I am sure some people would want to see the author of the wiki in the simplified view while other would not. But even if the simplified view just showed the title and the description, that would be useful.
Ideally the simplified view could be shown in a browser window too.
I'm not sure if I'd want…
1 voteThe solution will be to make a wiki public, open a public link, and use the browser’s print to save it as a PDF. Make it project private or team private back after.

Wiki - add sharing options like Google Drive
Everyone with the link
Everyone @mycompany.comThe ability to allow all users with a specific email domain (e.g. *@mycompany.com) to access a certain part (e.g. wiki) of my project
I would like to use wiki entries to document and share progress made from the project (kind of like a newsletter) to all company employees without having to invite each individual manually.
1 voteWe have a public wiki link that is equal to “Everyone with the link”
We will be adding a global link allowing you to share it with anyone invited to any of your projects in Freedcamp (not necessarily have access to a project where a wiki is located) -
Export and import Wikis
A simple way to export and import Wikis would be great to have, as it's already done with tasks. Either selected ones or all within a project.
This would be even more useful, if Markdown gets implemented, as proposed here: https://freedcamp.uservoice.com/forums/126945-suggestions-for-features/suggestions/4631507-markdown-support
The current solution is very unhandy, because Wikis are stored only within the backup file. In order to import a certain Wiki, you have to find the according Wiki file, then copy the html formated text area, create a new Wiki in Freedcamp and paste it there. This is very error-prone and time-consuming.

Wikis - add print option
It would be a great future feature to be able to print a wiki page directly in a good format including the table of contents.

Email-In - support Wikis application
I like to keep a record of important information sent to me about a project. At the moment I do this with OneNote from within Outlook. I would like to be able to email in an email to a Wiki for a project so I can keep track of important information exchanged via email without having to download and upload into the Wiki.

Please implement in the settings an option to switch to the 24-hour clock time format, since the majority of the world's population is using it, as described here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24-hour_clock

Ability to number wikis so they appear chronologically
We use wikis to track notes from our weekly meetings. To keep them chronological, we number them. It work for 1-9, but when we get to number 10, the wiki organizes the meetings as 1, 10, 2, 3, etc.
1 voteThe only option we can suggest is to use 001, 050 100 – prefix your wikis with zeros. The only way to sort wiki titles naturally as you describe will unfortunately be a performance killer for the database extraction for us. This is not a trivial topic btw https://www.meridiandiscovery.com/how-to/why-windows-sorts-numeric-file-names-differently/

Webhook
Hi freedcamp team,
I think is it pretty simple as we already have well documented API. Can we have webhook for notifying events like: Project created, Task created/updated, Issue created/updated, Comment added, ...
Format for Webhook request, can be exactly same like Response of our current API, documented in:
https://freedcamp.com/Mobile_7Yh/iOS_application_6zp/wiki/wiki_public/view/DFaab#supported-methodsUse case for this is integrate with other service beyond zapier. With this ability, we can roll our own integrations, without have to wait Freedcamp team to integrate with specified third party service.
