Move or copy tasks in the same or another project
It would be great to move tasks or tasks groups from one project to another project.
Hi All,
Copy a task (subtasks are supported) in the same project – all plans
Copy a task list in the same project – all plans
Move a task (with subtasks) to another project – all paid plans
Move a task list to another project – all paid plans.
To see ‘move’ action simply select another project as a target and you will see two options copy or move.
If tasks or subtasks you copy or move have files attached – an operation will be done in the background and you will be notified by email on completion. In most cases, you will see results before you will get an email.
Regards,
Igor

Any update on this? This is probably the one feature (along with start dates in Lite) that is stopping me coming wholesale into Freedcamp.

Sure could've used this feature on several occasions. Especially after I made the mistake of putting the task in the wrong project and spent a lot of time commenting on that task, adding images, etc before realizing it's in the wrong project.

Could you please provide a status update here? PLEASE? It's been more than three months now since Igor said that the Freedcamp team was "starting to work on it."
As others have said, this is such a needed feature. Thank you!

As a workaround you can Export xls, edit the file to only have the group you wish to move, then Import XLS in the other group. Just tried it and it works good.

Hi Igor, how about cloning tasks, even within the same project?

yes. would be great. I sometimes start a task in my project for my daily tasks. then this task evolves to an own project... :-)

Hi Igor
I have just tried the export and import XLS and it works great. Fully understand other development projects taking priority but this is a good work around for now to achieve what I need to achieve so thank you :)I have saved my exported file on my computer and rename the the task title and subtask links to match and import. Works well.

Any update Igor? With the invention of the sub tasks, this is needed a lot! I am having to create lots of projects I don't want just to duplicate the same tasks for a job, but I would prefer to duplicate tasks that have a list of sub tasks (so when a task is duplicated, its subtasks are replicated with it as well) and have them all under one project and project group. I am keen to start using subtasks and pay the monthly fee, but not until tasks can be duplicated. Many thanks :)
