  1. See https://nextcloud.com/

Nextcloud is open-source and would be an ideal addition to the existing Google Drive integration.

  2. Within a given project it would be very valuable to be able to set up a reminder for me to do something special, e.g. "Call Derek regarding paint samples," or "Schedule meeting to discuss quality problems."

It could be done so that when I open an existing project the reminders appear, or when I log onto Freedcamp, the reminders appear so that I know which project needs my immediate attention.

  3. I haven't see a way to do this yet, but it would be extremely helpful, to be able to have the functionality of moving a discussion to another project (ie. a second project or discussion was created when one already exists). This would make things a lot easier to keep things 'neat and tidy'.

  5. I think another icon for "In progress" is better than the same hook with "Complete" but color, If In progress is the different status with Completed, I don't know why using the same icon but just color.

  6. Basically, instead of having someones email and inviting them like that, giving them a unique link they can use to register themselves (with an email)

This allows the invitee to not have to share email details when working with people on certain freelancer platforms

  7. It would be very helpful to see in the calendar what are the users assigned to each task at first view.
In Freedcamp, you can see that information only when you open each task.
With that info clearly visible is really easy to assign a task to different users and also for the assigned users to follow up their tasks and advances visually.

    Hi Jack,

We can definitely connect https://www.filestack.com/ or similar service to allow our paying customers to see previews. Instead of uploading your file directly to Freedcamp’s AWS S3 storage we will send a file to FileStack and ask them to make a few small PNG files which will be used for previews. After it is done we load your file and previews to Freedcamp’s AWS S3 storage.

Problem is https://www.filestack.com/docs/file-processing/document-conversion/document does not support formats you need as well as http://filepreviews.io/docs/features.html

In addition FilePreviews service does not look as actively developed.

    Cheers,
    Igor

  9. Currently you can upload a file in many places, but I would like to have the same file associated with many different tasks, comments, and discussions. Right now you have to upload the same file to each item you would like to attach it to. That file then gets duplicated (and triplicated, and...) in the Files app, rendering that app essentially useless because of all of the clutter. I would like to be able to upload a file (and specify a version number) once, either via attachment to some freedcamp item or directly in the Files app, and then be…

  10. I would lke to have a column or special place to add the set price (in the currency of my choice) of the task ordered by a client (I'm a freelancer), which will work along the Time widget, so that I would see the average earned income based on the hours spent on all my tasks for a set period. Thus maybe a statistics functionality as well.

We are already working now on a new concept called Dashboards that will support the Summary widget (pie, bar, battery, or card output), Table, and Buttons widgets. Essentially dashboards are custom reports and you can create as many dashboards as you need with as many widgets with drag and drop capability to set your perfect layout. Eventually, Dashboards will supersede the Widgets page. Dashboards can be private, shared with all team members (new members will see it too) or selected team members. Initially, dashboards will be added to the Enterprise plan.

  12. For us it should be great to have direct access via CalDAV to the Freedcamp calendar with events and tasks.

  15. I suggest the document / file control. The case is if there are 2 peoples download the file and upload the new version ( their new version ) at the same time, it cant be defined which one is the latest.

So i Want the document can be locked. When someone A doing the document he must lock it first so someone B cannot download it or open it using your document editor app. Someone B can download the file after someone A finish his new version and unlock the file to be downloaded by someone B

    Good job guys..…

    Hi Ian,

    Thanks for posting.

Probably it should work this way. If you use FileEditor a file will be marked as locked by you. Other people using FileEditor will get a notice that file is edited by you and it is up to them to cancel or continue editing. Notice will state that their changes to a file can be overwritten by your edits later on.

If you do not use file edit and download a file – it will be a drop down button with two options:
    - download
    - download and lock
In this case other person uploading a new version or also trying to download will get a similar notice.

Users uploading back directly or via FileEdit if a file was changed after they locked it will get a notice saying ‘File was changed – please consider uploading it as a new version as otherwise you will…

  18. Also please add a 'compact mode' checkbox so it uses less vertical space by not showing the number of comments and the check button, i.e. it looks just like the My Tasks widget.

  20. We use template files for the projects, which means all projects have the same task groups, tasks and mile stones. So the Notifications page shows a long list of the same task names (RFQ ORDER LOGISTICS) but it doesn't show which project.

Having the first 20 characters of the project title in front would be a great help!
