  1. Right now email notification start with a large subject line which is very redundant. I.e.

    [Investing Discussions] <Subject of the message>

    When I look at my inbox I see a lot of repetitive {Investing Discussion] but I do not see what I am really interested in, the Subject. This redundant portion should be shrunk to a minimal code i.e.

    • get rid of the [ ] which do not carry information
    • use just 4-5 letter code xID consistently
    • leave more space for the message.
    • If you really need you can append the whole [Investing Discussions] (might be useful for filters) but…

  2. I want to use Task Groups as types of Tasks and don't want to archive them but I do want to archive single tasks.

    For example, I have created "Promotions" as a Task Group. Inside, I will create tasks and work on them. When a single task, a promotion, it will be marked as completed by other mate, I will first public that promotion (at our website) and then I would like to archive the task, but no the Group "Promotions", because I will be creating tasks over there.

    The solution with filters that I have read here it's not…

    Hi Pepe,

    Thanks for posting. Do you know that you can create a saved filter which will show all tasks except those which were completed more than X days ago so old completed tasks are automatically filtered out?

    Would this work as a workaround?

  3. We're using Xero.com for invoicing and accountancy, but it does not have the work-focused features of freedcamp. We'd love to be able to use freedcamp to record tasks and time sheets, then export global time sheet data into a format that can be imported ino Xero, or even better, have some sort of seamless integration tool so we can just link data across to Xero.

  4. RE-SUBMISSION: The idea was closed because you thought that it was related to files. I'm talking about how tasks relate to each other.

    The idea is to have a field where you say "I cant start this task until this other task is finished"

    In Meistertask there are 2 fields on each task for this :
    "Blocks" : where you select tasks that cannot be done untill after the task you are editing, and "Is blocked by", where you select tasks that you cannot do until the current task is finished.

    Hi,

    We are building this feature as part of Gantt but it will only be enabled on Enterprise plan.

    Task B depends on task A. So B can not be started or at least gives you a warning saying – A was not completed.

  5. Time Doctor is our go-to service for comprehensively tracking time across our organization. It would be wonderful to be able to track the specific tasks in Freedcamp within Time Doctor seemlessly.

  6. Estimation time required while creating the task and spend time is updated in progress and after completion of task.

    Helps to track the task progress and deliver as per the time schedule

  9. I use Freedcamp to track projects across three different groups and outside of Freedcamp each group has an unqiue email address.

    However, the current setup only allows a single email address to be used globally.

    This means I have to manually move Freedcamp notification emails between my email accounts, which takes a lot of time.

    This could be fixed by:
    1. Allow users to enter multplie email addresses in their Freedcamp profile
    2. Allow the user to select the email address associated with each group

  10. Instead of links for view, send, edit, and delete on the Invoices page, could we have actual buttons? The current links are so small and close together that it's very easy to click the wrong one and accidentally send an invoice that you intended to edit (something I have obviously done - doh!). Also, when creating or editing an invoice, how about replacing the "just save, don't email" checkbox with a button next to Save that says "Save without emailing"? The checkbox is very small and hard to notice which means clients often get emails about invoices that aren't yet…

  12. It would be helpful to deciding who should be notified, or assigned, etc., to know what User Role they of which they are a part. This is especially the case with the addition of "Read Only" users in a project.

  13. Only just started looking at freedcamp as an alternative to basecamp so apologies if I have missed something.

    The feeds are a great way to do reports. However we use GSuite and can share documents in a fairly granular manner appropriate to our company structure. This granularity cannot be matched by the feed output.

  16. I noticed it's been slightly annoying for having to go back to the Widgets Board to view recent activity. What if the recent activity of a project is displayed above tasks and other app tabs? So you can view just recent activity of just that project so it takes out the extra step of going back to the Widget Board and scanning through the recent activity on the Widget Board. The recent activity on the Widget Board is great to view it as a whole but it would be awesome to also be able to see it by the project…

  17. Just like in Asana. This way, you can have one instance/organization for work, one for personal, or multiple for multiple jobs, etc. The best way of doing this now would be project groups such as Work1 - Project A, Work1 - Project B, Work2 - Project A, etc...but this gets clunky. Having different organizations, like in Asana, would be a huge benefit!

    Asana/Slack organisations/teams create completely separated silos of things you will never see together. Correct?

    So you are proposing to separate instead of adding, for example task groups tags and be able to separate (filter by tags),but also easily be able to see all your tasks across multiple jobs together.

  18. I have a "nice-to-have" feature request. Here are some details:

    • Let's imagine I'm a Project Group Admin. I have Project Group "XYZ".
    • Within "XYZ" group I have a number of projects with some users involved. I re-ordered the projects within that group in some way.
    • Now, I want all other users who are involved in projects within "XYZ" group to see the same projects' ordering as was specified by Project Group Admin user.
