    Hi Erms,

We are starting work on reducing amount of emails we send. First step will be to put intelligent threshold before a message about particular item (task, discussion) gets send.

It will work this way – min time 15 min – max time 30 min before email notification will be posted. If during 15 minutes after first change there is another one – we wait extra 5 min and if another one we wait for 5 min again until we get to 30 min. So all users will get only one email instead of current 6 after 4 comments were posted and some changes made on due date and priority of a task by 3 people.

Such email will contain all changes made during interval ranging from 15-30 minutes and details to who did what.

However we do have people who complain about 10 min delay between a change…

  2. It would be really handy to be able to edit the project info (i.e. Project Name, Description, and Group) from within the project.

  4. It would be great to have some way of identifying tasks in multiple projects as part of a planning cycle. So then we'd have a way of identifying all the tasks/subtasks we committed to for a particular sprint or quarterly planning time period. Then we wouldn't have to put false due dates in order to filter on sprint items across multiple projects.

    Thanks!

  5. Currently any entry in the CRM application can either be a Contact or a Lead. The typical progression that I see on other programs is that the list of "Contacts" includes every person ever added to the listing. After emails are sent out, people who respond are added to a group called "Targets," while still also being listed under "Contacts." Another way that a "Target" is determined is as someone who shows more potential to want to buy a product than just Contacts. In most of these programs, "Targets," who end up confirming that they will be either contributing or…

  6. Can we do something to automatically adjust the duration or due date of a task that is dependent on another task or subtask? What if the task or subtask it depended on slipped it's due date? There is no auto adjustment to the project schedule of the connected task. This is the strength of MS Project that is critical.

    Hi All,

As we noted in Gantt beta notes here – https://freedcamp.com/Freedcamp_LxR/Freedcamp_Devel_yOf/wiki/wiki_public/view/hJbab :

“No auto or even manual adjustments in this version. Auto-adjustment forward is when task completion is overdue and all start dates for dependent tasks start moving forward automatically. Auto-adjustment backward is when task is finished sooner all start dates for dependent tasks are also automatically moved backward so they can be also started sooner. Manual adjustment is when B depends on A and you drag A forward it pushes B forward too (same if you drag A backward) – manual in this definition is that you are making changes but Gantt understands dependencies and moves dependent task accordingly.”

We will probably start with manual adjustments:

    If B depends on A:

    - you drag A forward, B will also move forward (if B has no other dependencies preventing it)

    - you drag A backward, B will also move…

  7. It would be nice to be able to setup an API to be able to save project information and data to a corporate SharePoint site.

  8. In the CRM app, It seems as the "WITH" entry in the call log screen is not connected to the actual contacts table. For CRM to function, a list of phonecalls or tasks per contact should be easy to generate. In other words, the phone call and tasks tables should have a reference to a contact!

    Hi All!

We decided to start with Wall application to see how many people will participate and what issues will arise and will add more words and phrases as we go.

We would like to build relationships with most active users helping us and nominated moderator (a team or individual) which will work with us and be a trusted source managing a community of translators for a particular language. We will definitely reward most active users with great life-time upgrades and will post your names on Freedcamp’s new sponsors and supporters hall of fame page.

Thanks for helping us out! Please join here – http://translate.freedcamp.com/collaboration/ and follow the prompts.

    Cheers,
    Igor

  14. What about a full IFrame support in Discussions etc.
When I try to add an IFrame under the "source code" section, nothing happens.
I'd be glad to be able to add Polls etc. via IFrame to my Discussions.
Also the <script> tag & Javascript seems to not be working.

  18. Currently if I post a new discussion and I want to make it private, I have to then select all the people I want to be able to see that discussion.

This is ok for a few people but when i have hundreds of people all in different teams it makes it really hard to select the right people.

Could there be a breakdown of these people into their team member groups where we could select the whole team group which would automatically select all members of that group and then we could fine tune the list by deselecting individuals…

  19. personally I prefer that my new projects created from a Template be created without existing users, who are inherited from the Project Group Admins. I would like me other users to use this setting as well, but I feel they will generally forget to change the setting.

  20. We have "customer" (prospects, vendors, etc) contacts who are engaged across multiple project groups. It doesn't seem proper to have to record the same actual contact information in multiple CRM groups. If the contact information changes, we'd want it to be consistent.

The engagement tracking might be appropriate to keep at the Group or even Project level, but the contact itself should exist across Groups.

There would have to be partitioning and permissioning to determine who can see which contacts, but there should be some ability to share across groups.
